There are some good things here, and it's definitly better than nothing at all, but really - aeroplano? Try avion. Please watch the aglicisms. The goal is spanish, not spanglish.

I had read these reviews here before I bought this on e-bay. I almost didn't add it to our So Smart collection because of what the one reviewer said about teaching the wrong word for airplane. They said it was not aeroplano but avion. I don't know much Spanish, but I thought I didn't want my kids learning something wrong and figured I wouldn't buy this one. Well, I then decided to do a quick search on yahoo for "on-line Spanish dictionary" and I found that there are two words in Spanish (maybe there are even more) for the word airplane: aeroplano and avion. I'm so glad I looked into this myself or I might have missed out on buying this cute video. Even though I don't understand hardly any of this video (it's completely in Spanish) it has very cute animation and really nice music. My daughter (16 months at the time) was clapping and enjoying it. I do wish they would have had the words written on the screen in Spanish as an added learning tool. If they would have done this I am sure I'd have given this video 5 stars. Some of the Spanish words are airplane, bird, train, sun, boat, clouds, cats, etc. I really like the So Smart videos (except for the very first one called Sight & Sounds). I have written reviews for them all.

I just bought this for my one year old. It's a neat idea to use the songs to teach spanish but overall I'm not impressed. The sound quality is bad making the words of the songs hard to understand. I was hoping the animation would be a bit more concrete so that she would be able to figure out more of the spanish from the pictures. This tape wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either.

We also have the Bilingual Baby - Spanish tape. While it bores me, she will watch all 45 minutes through if I let her. If you want a spanish tape buy this one. I'm going to start looking for a audio cassette of spanish children's songs.

My Daughter absolutely loves this video. I bought it for her when she was 8 months and she was just captivated by the catchy and fun songs and simple colorful animation. She gets so excited whenever it comes on that she will actually sit and watch it for the full 1/2 hour. She just loves to bounce and dance to all the songs.

This video is so hip and fun! It is like watching a baby film created by Pedro Almadovar! it is Spanish children's songs with illustrations and a hopping beat. The colors and words are simple but I think it is relaxing. My 17 month old loves it, he bops to the music and points and sings. I have a friend who gives this video to every baby she knows. Good for infants up to a couple years of age.

I'm not a native speaker, but I am nonetheless trying to pass on my Spanish to my sons, who are two years old. I find videos extremely helpful, so had high hopes for this one. Like a previous reviewer, I was put off at first by the word "aeroplano," which I didn't remember hearing in my seven years in Spain. However, I also looked it up and found that it was a valid word, and in the end, it just doesn't matter. My three boys love the shapes and colors of this video, and I think their Spanish has improved as a result of watching it over and over. I sometimes hear them trying to sing the songs to themselves during the day, so I know the sounds and the tunes are sticking with them. I recommend the video whole-heartedly! It's given me many badly needed thirty minute breaks.

HOW TERRIBLE QUALITY! IT IS INVISIBLE, THE PICTURE KEEP ON SHAKING, YOU CAN¡¦T SEE A STRAIGHT LINE FROM THE TELEVISION. THE COLOR SHOWED IS NOT SHARP.

THIS IS A PRODUCTS FOR BABY LEARNING LANGUAGE. I THOUGHT THIS MUST A GOOD MATERIAL FOR MY BABY WHEN I BOUGHT. MY BABY AND I WATCHED THIS TAPE TOGETHER ONCE RECEIVED THE PACKAGE. I FOUND THAT THE VISUAL IS SO BAD. IT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE. IT WILL HURT YOUR EYES. MY BABY AGED 21 MONTHS ONLY. HE IS IN A VISUAL DEVELOPING STAGE. I STOP TO LET HIM WATCH AROUND 10 MINIUTES RUNNING.

ACTUALLY, THE CONTENT OF THIS PRODUCT IS VERY GOOD. IT IS AN EASY WAY FOR LEARNING. HOW CAN A MOTHER TO LET THE MATERIAL TO HURT HIS SON¡¦S VISUAL DEVELOPING? I WILL NOT LET MY BABY TO USE IT.

My 3 1/2 and 1 1/2 year old boys love this tape. When I put it on they run to the TV and start dancing. They picked up the simple spanish words very easily (even the 18 month old.) Now they point to an airlplane and say "Aeroplano mommy." Highly recommended.

I am a native speaker of Spanish and teach Spanish at a Liberal Arts College and whatever some reviewers have said about this video, one fact remains unchanged: babies and toddlers love it! I just had a third child and bought a new copy because my kids have loved it so much that even my four year old still sits down to watch it! My only regret is that it's not on DVD.

The sound quality of the video is not good enough to understand all the words, (a big drawback for a foreign language video), and ours also came with no book to help with this problem. The images are 2 dimensional graphics, but are bright and fun. The music is actually quite catchy, light and rhythmic. Most importantly though, my 2 year old triplets love it!!! They dance to it and enjoy the cute images.
