This book is not your usual run-of-the-mill mail-order-bride story. Adrian, the hero is a twin to the hero in Angel in Marble, and he's in love with his brother's wife. When he gets a brother in Scotland to find him a wife, he wants a virgin. He gets Maggie, a widowed Scot with 3 kids. Talk about conflict! First he learns she was married before and almost loses it, then the 3 kids show up on his doorstep! But, it doesn't take Maggie or the children long to teach him what love is. The descriptions of California & the lumbering empire will make you think you've been there. You'll be treated to some delightful characters and a style of writing you will love.

You'll be cheering for the hero & heroine to get together from their first meeting! This book is so full of emotion and tension, you'll want to read it straight through. Once again, Elaine Coffman packs a book full of unforgettable characters. You'll love the two aunts in this one. You'll be hooked from the beginning as you watch the hero and heroine to overcome the pain of their past and learn to trust again. A beautiful story.
