5.0 out of 5 stars So RIGHT to be So TOGETHER
CD Review:

Is Innosense really a Pop group? I think we should reconsidered that definition totally just as we did with *NSYNC. It's probably true what they say: Innosense is the female *NSYNC. And that is why 'So Together' soars above the expectations of a group that was being labeled as 'the next Spice Girls.'

'Tell me what ya want, what ya really really want'...

versus
3.0 out of 5 stars Filler..sigh
"Say No More" is an okay song. The rest is generic pop filler. What's sad is they came out with a great song "To Know The Unknown" that is not included on this CD. Check that out instead!

'Tell me what ya want, what ya really really want'? No, Innosense does more than just tell a listener what they really really want. They prove it. With more than just a few highlights on this debut album, Innosense kills the theory that most girl groups won't make it. In fact, longevity is written on the album when you have two songs penned by Diane Warren, plus several tracks produced by Guy Roche and a hit song that isn't even written by Max Martin's camp.

Shining, edgy pop tracks like 'Say No More' keep the girls listed in a Backstreet Boys category, while bubble-gum-flavored like 'This Is It' holds them to a Britney Spears sound. But don't doubt these ladies. They come off as true R&B divas on the En Vogueish 'A Real Good Man' and the classically Motown sounding 'Beep Beep.'

Let's not forget how the ladies create their own song on such cuts as the title track where they offer up lyrics like: 'Funny, but our love's still strong/When you're gone, it's keep me hanging on/Inside'. They also soar in the raciness of the first cut, 'Ride,' where the girls not only rap their verses, but also chant: 'Turn it up, let me hear you say/Ride/Cause that's the way we like to play/Ride'

Over the course of the album, you find *NSYNC's labeled 'dirty pop' in such songs as the scandalous 'www.fan-ta-see' where the girls promote innuendo's that scream cybersex and masterfully done songs like 'Rain Rain', in which the girls not only create a mid-tempo ballad with Roche, but also but a twist on it with phenomenal harmonizing and a rap by member Veronica. The songs leaves you in awe of how the girls are not headlining their own tours and ready to package Barbie dolls like Britney and Christina.

One aspect that does not leave a listener disappointed are the ballads. Ranging from Diane Warren-penned to Guy Roche produced, the girls prove their vocal ability to be outstanding. With 'A Hundred Oceans', the ladies gush over how distance does not affect love, while 'You Didn't Have To Hurt Me' as the question 'Why oh why oh why' did that love one leave you crying. The final track slides in a whole new direction, a lament to wishes that could have come true.

Over all, the girls of Innosense have one thing in common with Britney Spears & Christina Aguilera, outside of Nikki DeLoach's past on the MMC: they are the next generation of music. They may be labeled pop now, but there is no doubt that their music will no doubt cross over into other genres of music.

5.0 out of 5 stars This CD is definitely something to invest in!, October 7, 2000

You may see the cover of this album and think "ahh..just another pop group in a world filled with them", but Innosense is far from "just another pop group." These girls have a tight sound that compels them over the other groups. They are definitely the next big thing to hit the music scene.

Their songs are sultry like "Beep Beep" and fun like in "Ride" which makes you want to get up and dance. Then there are beautiful ballads that you can just put on repeat and enjoy like "I Wish." This album has so many styles of music on it, it still amazes me even though I've listened to it a million times!

This album is definitely worth the money you will spend on it. I bought a few copies myself and as gifts for friends. If you love pop, r&b, ballads, love songs, and more this is definitely an album you should invest in!

ENJOY IT!!! INNOSENSE IS THE THE NEXT BIG THING!

5.0 out of 5 stars Innosense Rocks!, December 22, 2001

This review is from: So Together (Audio CD)
This is a great CD that pop fans will love. It starts out with the song Ride which is fun and upbeat. The next song Say No More is just as good as the first. Ride is my personal favorite though. You can listen to it over and over!. Beep Beep slows down with a nice slow song. So Together follows with a nice beat that everyone will love. This is it gives the CD another very upbeat song that has a nice beat. Don't forget about Rain Rain which is another slow song on the CD. It's not my favorite but it's cool. Then another slow song comes after that which is You Didn't Have To Hurt Me. After that an upbeat song www.fan-ta-see (...) is next. That's another song I really like. Then it slows down a LITTLE with A Hundred Oceans with is an good song on the CD. A Real Good Man is another cool upbeat song which is before the song you can touch me now, which slows down a LITTLE, like A Hundred Oceans. Both of thoose songs are cool. The CD ends witht I Wish which is another sorta slow song. This is my favorite slow song on the CD. You can listen it over and over again just like you can with Ride. All theese songs are exellent and very enjoyable! This is a must buy-must listen to CD if you are a pop fan. BUY IT!

This review is from: So Together (Audio CD)
So Together is one of those CD's you can listen to non-stop without skipping. The CD is full of beautiful ballads and fun dance songs. The girls are very talented and have amazing voices. My favorite ballad is "You Didn't Have to Hurt Me", you can feel their emotions in this song, its incredible. My favorite fast song is "www.fan-ta-see". But it's hard to pick favorites with this CD, they are all great! Definately worth your money!

4.0 out of 5 stars Take this cd for a ride, October 2, 2000

Innosense may just be the best thing to come from Florida since 'N Sync. The five girl group has tight harmonies, albeit in some places a tad strained, great hooks, and they can dance. If anyone has seen this group perform, whether as an opening act, a promo act or on tv, you know what I mean. These girls are talented and pretty. We'll have towait for interviews to see about the brains bit, but I'm sure they're as intelligent as anyone else in the music biz. It's too bad Britney Spears left so early on. It's also a shame that Amanda Latona just disappeared one day. But, the cd is awesome. expecially "This Is It."

4.0 out of 5 stars Innosense - The Next Girl Band?, September 26, 2000
By
This review is from: So Together (Audio CD)
While watching music videos a few weeks ago, I see a music video by a band I've never heard of before. I watched it and noticed it had everything needed to be a great pop sensation: Lyrics, great beat, good videos, and a great look. This band was Innosense. After a few more times of watching it, I thought that it may be a hugely popular band. I go a few weeks waiting for this album to come out, while along the way buying the single. I go to lunch today and go look at some music. After a little debating, I bought this album. After listening through it one time, I was somewhat impressed, which is difficult to do to me with popular music. My only problem with this album is that I fear that it may end up being like a certain other female band whose name I will not mention, due to my dislike for them and unwillingness to want to go away.

5.0 out of 5 stars The most talent Americans are ignoring, December 21, 2001
By
K.C. (Arlington, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: So Together (Audio CD)
It's [sad] that the population of America has overlooked this unbelievably incredible group of now four members, no longer five. Out of my CD collectiion of about 80 albums, this is the only album that every track appeals to me in each a different way. ...The variety on this album is incredible!!! It goes from funky-pop to edgy-almost R&B to mowtown-esqe to sweet-tender balladry etc. And that is just the first four songs. What's really great is that you can hear each harmony part distinctly. It's not like they're all singing the melody. I must say that Veronica and Danay have the absolute best vocals. Now, don't go hagging on them because they didn't write thier entire debut. If you're thinking like a real musician, the debut is an experimental one to see what kind of response the public gives with what you gave them. There's so much promise in this group's all around performance that it would be tragic for it to go to waste. There's no one quite like 'em out there on the music scene and what's considered "Cool". Thank God they're finally gaining real self confidence, and kicking out Lou Pearlman and getting a new manager. Innosense is my inspiration in everything. I know lots of others who feel the same way. So, with all that said, consider each review carefully and decide for yourself. They deserve everything they're NOT getting. ...

4.0 out of 5 stars I think Britney made a wise decsion by leaving this group, February 25, 2001
This review is from: So Together (Audio CD)
I really like this CD but I must say even though they have Lou Pearlman and Justin Timberlake's mom behind them they will not get that far. It makes me sad to say that but you should really buy this CD they can actually sing a lot better then The Spice Girls and their songs are edgy and have a lot of um mature themes. Well maybe not all of them just www.fan-ta-see. That song is very um intresting. It reminded me of *N SYNC's "Digital Get Down" except more mature. Their style reminds me of a group like *N SYNC because their songs are really good to dance to even some of the ballads. I love the song "Beep Beep". With the right promotion and the right market they should get father then they are now. Most people don't even know who they are. Oh well. Good Luck Girls.
