Not my favorite Hilton novel, but good,

This is a fine novel, but one of my least favorite of Hilton's books (my favorite is Random Harvest). I did not find some sections of So Well Remembered engaging, and it wasn't until half way through the book that I really cared how the story would end. And the end was very ambiguous, he could easily have continued the book for a few more chapters.Despite all that, I still found it a worth-while read. His characters, as usual, were great and that is why Hilton is one of my favorite authors. Just don't make this the first Hilton novel you read. |
