So what? Dynamite CD that's what!,

First of all, let me confess that I love piano and/or trumpet jazz! Having said that, this CD has kept me interested over repeated playings--while driving in the car or just sitting and enjoying it at home--it's versatile in style. It has solid rhythmic bases and keeps taking interesting turns in the development of every piece on the CD, many of which are well known melodies. Henderson's trumpet rules and is both mellow and assertive when it should be. Supporting instruments all weave beautifully in and out and end up in giving you plenty of satisfying straight ahead jazz. I'm giving it to jazz friends for Christmas!

Better Than Miles,

I think the title says it all....Miles was a genius, but not a "virtuoso" trumpeter (I should know, I have been playing trumpet for 47 years!). Eddie, on the other hand, is a true master of the trumpet...love his playing!
