I am a fan of country music mostly with a little rock thrown in. I loved "So What" when I heard it on a TV show and bought this just for that song. I was lukewarm to turned off of the rest of the songs. But the more I played the CD in my car, the more songs I liked and the more I liked them. The girl has talent! Refreshing to hear someone who can actually hit the notes on key. Love this album, "explicit" lyrics and all.

Honestly for Pink, she has really been one of the more quirky artists who has made some true to heart songs. When she had released Stupid Girls a few years ago, it took a hard hit on the Britpack (Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan), as well as the feeling of trying to look and be a certain way for woman, to appeal to all women. While that songs worked well, her latest single also takes that aim, but in her personal life. So What, the first single from her 5th album Funhouse, is a tonuge and cheek way of poking fun at the devistating divorce with her ex-husband, motorcyclist Corey Hart. The song isn't bad for the moment, but I was hoping it would strike a more driven cord. I still think it is a good song for Pink, but not as good as the message Stupid Girls gave. I do hope that Pink can really make peace with the end of her marriage, but I also hope the next single from Funhouse can really be more uplifting.Song: C+ |
