5.0 out of 5 stars Racing Toward Inspiration? Get Set Go
Get Set Go has that rare quality seldom seen in music today: inspiration. Whether it's blazing guitar riffs, thundering drum lines, or melodic vocals, this band can do it all.

3.0 out of 5 stars So You Ruined Your Life? Then reconsider buying this CD.
There are a few memorable, catchy songs on this album; those that come to mind are "Twenty One" "Kiss the Girl" and "Go To The Mattress." But even those start off strongly and fizzle out at the end. Some of the lyrics feel uninspired and the rest of the songs in this album haphazardly thrown together.

5.0 out of 5 stars Racing Toward Inspiration? Get Set Go, December 1, 2003

Get Set Go has that rare quality seldom seen in music today: inspiration. Whether it's blazing guitar riffs, thundering drum lines, or melodic vocals, this band can do it all.
While some would compare them to Weezer, or Foo Fighters, or even (gasp!) Jimmy Eat World, because of their occasionally pop-punk sound, their punk sensibilities are also evident, especially on tracks like "Jesus Christ Wore Leather," a track the Sex Pistols weren't brave enough to sing. Even songs that sound radio-friendly and accessible often deal with challenging subjects, like abusive relationships in "Matress" or the emotional alienation created by modern relationships in "Lonely Girl."
Get Set Go has catchy songs you can't stop listenting to, and an album you can listen to a thousand times, because the inspiration in these three artists is clear every time you hear their songs.

This is the kind of music you can't get out of your head or heart. Mike TV is an amazing composer and the rest of the band plays with such energy that it will make you want to shake that money maker. A fantastic CD, an incredible band, a must-have.

4.0 out of 5 stars On your mark........, March 10, 2006
It's good music! Catchy, but well written. Every time I listen to it I get a new surprise in the writing. I hear a new drum combo I didn't hear the first time or a riff on the guitar that went unnoticed before. The lyrics are so honest and simple they make you laugh out loud. Like I said, just good music.

5.0 out of 5 stars GET SET GO Rules!!!!!, September 18, 2003
These guys are the indie trendsetters of the new Millenium! You will love Mike TV, Dr. Modo and Amy! This band rules! Not the most PC, and exactly what you are looking for!

1.0 out of 5 stars second song same as the first...and so on and so on, April 4, 2005
this album is so weak it makes me wish there was less than a one star rating.

its the worst kind of unsubstantial formula music. it just yells out "i wanna be a pop star" and that makes me sick.

as the cd went on i actually found myself checking the song track numbers to make sure it was advancing!!
the songs sound that self similar and impotent.

just do yourself a favor and listen to all the songs before buying this thing. maybe i am just a prick.

these lyrics seemed to be looking for any knee jerk reation.
the words attack any, and all easy prey(Jesus Christ Wore Leather etc.) but still say nothing really intellegent or soul searching at all. its almost as if it is enough to say something really wierd or offensive for the sake of saying it.

the drums were very good(almost out of place), and the bass was on perfect time, and had some really nice fills. but the flimsy lyrics and limp arrangement was hard to listen too.
