Clear Gycerine Soap Base

I got my feet wet with a kit that included this base. It's all right, but has both Sodium Lareates in it, better base can be had elsewhere. Remember, the more chemicals it has in it, detracts from its value as a homemade real soap product.

I used this soap base mixed with oatmeal and another time mixed with tea and I made about 10 or more bars of soap and it lasted 6 months. I ordered 2 of them so 6 months with only 2 soap bases is pretty good. I will order this again!!!

This soap arrived within one day after I ordered it, and came in perfect condition. Not only that, it made a lot of soap, and it smelled great, and was very moisturizing! I definately don't regret buying this for the value, and the price, and would definately not think twice about buying it again.

When first melting the soap it puts off a disagreeable odor. Has anyone else experienced this? I have added ingredients and hope that it will not be there when I use the soap!

Update-

After the soap hardened I cut off a small piece and washed my hands with it. The terrible smell of the glycerine came through. I am very disappointed and will contact the manufacturer.

I used this soap to make "bug soap" for my 3 yr old's birthday party favors. I bought plasic bugs, also on Amazon, and poured the soap around them in molds. I made quite a few mistakes and was able to remelt and repour the soap multiple times. The company is also geat to work with.

Melts in the microwave very well, but I have only used a small amount of blocks each time, so I guess that's why. It's great for little projects with my nieces, although they can't really do much but wait til it cools a bit to cut out shapes.
