VERY INTERESTING. NICE TO BE INCLUDED IN THE LIST! I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE BOOK AND HONORED TO BE A PART OF IT.
- Julia Barr (Brooke/All My Children)

A really fun read. Half the time I can't even remember the scenes I shot, let alone anyone else's. This ebook took me back to my own time and opened a window on the experience of so many of my friends. I had a wonderful time going through it!
- Jon Lindstrom (Kevin & Ryan/General Hospital & Port Charles)

I AM SO DELIGHTED TO HAVE BEEN INVITED TO CONTRIBUTE TO SOAP OPERA 451. THE BOOK IS A REMARKABLE ACHIEVEMENT THAT CELEBRATES THE WORLD OF SOAP OPERA.

I always like seeing a fan's perspective on soaps, especially with the genre in (hopefully not terminal) decline in the U.S. The author is a passionate fan and I appreciated her perspective. But what really makes this worthwhile are the carefully chosen video clips related to the topics. The clips were able to play pretty well on my iphone. I've never seen a Kindle work like this, but I hope I will see more in the future.

I've been enjoying the walk down memory lane. I bought the Kindle version and just finished reliving some times with Jack and Carly. Looking forward to the rest of the memories. Thanks, Alina.

More About the Author

I get bored easily.

I started out writing romance ("The Fictitious Marquis," "Thieves at Heart," "Annie's Wild Ride," "When a Man Loves a Woman"), briefly dabbled in non-fiction ("Inside Figure Skating," "Sarah Hughes: Skating to the Stars), moved on to mysteries ("Murder on Ice," "On Thin Ice," "Axel of Evil," "Death Drop," "Skate Crime") and tried my hand at soap-opera tie-ins ("Oakdale Confidential," "Jonathan's Story," "The Man From Oakdale").

Now, what's really firing up my imagination is enhanced e-books; e-books with videos as part of the story.

My first effort is "Skate Crime: Multimedia." I took an excerpt from my final Figure Skating Mystery, and added professional videos by The Ice Theatre of New York. It's part mystery, part romance, part book, part movie, and all Storytelling for the 21st Century.

I have no idea what I'm doing exactly. It's not like I have a blueprint to follow, or even anyone who's created something like it before to emulate. But, I can confidently say... I'm not bored. (Yet.)
