5.0 out of 5 stars Heart of a Bad Machine
After repeated listenings, I cannot find one bad song on this CD! I would have to say this is the boys' best work yet. If you haven't heard Gluecifer, pick up this release for a good, solid introduction. From start to finish, the band smacks you in the head with a rock-hard wallop of pure, driving rawk and roll that seems a queer mix reminiscent of Kiss, the MC5 and true...

The first three songs on this CD are great. "Go Away Man" especially, prompted repeated listenings. However, after the first three songs, it loses my interest. This band is great live but uneven on records.

After repeated listenings, I cannot find one bad song on this CD! I would have to say this is the boys' best work yet. If you haven't heard Gluecifer, pick up this release for a good, solid introduction. From start to finish, the band smacks you in the head with a rock-hard wallop of pure, driving rawk and roll that seems a queer mix reminiscent of Kiss, the MC5 and true 70s punk rock in every respect. This five man band from Oslo includes lead vocalist Biff Malibu (gotta love that handle!)who always sounds like he's just smoked 5 cartons of Marlboros washed down with the dregs from an Alabama still. This adds a fierceness and grittiness to the songs - unlike in previous releases where his vocals seemed obliterated by over-production. Gluecifer always delivers great backup vocals as well, which lend to the 70s Rock God sound they've managed to perfect. If you don't believe me, check out these songs first: BossHeaded, Go Away Man, Silver Wings, and Gimme Solid Gold. And if you hate pretentious goth types, you'll get a kick out of Lord of the Dusk. Check it out.
