This is a cool song, that kind of sounds tongue-in-cheek. The lyrics are good, but the way the female vocalist sings reminds me of that guy in There's Something About Mary (Widescreen Edition).

The music is good too and I like the mixing and sampling. But it's the kitchy lyrics that make this song.

Anybody who's ever been drunk dialed for a ride will understand this song.

I can't wait to check out the rest of the album.

A little about the band - Dengue Fever is a six-member band that hails from LA that mix Cambodian pop music and lyrics with psychedelic rock. This is one of those songs that if it gets picked up by radio or MTV will be a big summer hit. I expect to hear a lot more from Dengue Fever. I have listened to several more songs and they are all good. Look for them to make many top CD lists by the end of the year.

"Sober Driver" is a comical,tongue in cheek duet from LA-based Dengue Fever. It sounds retro in its sound and its theme--a man is tired of being his intoxicated girlfriend's chauffeur. It invites singalong. It's what one imagines playing on some alternative universe's classic rock station. "Sober Driver" is intoxicatingly good!
