The best collection of soca stars you'll find anywhere is on this album. For those who love and know soca this album is for you, this is a great party album for the party people Caribbean style. With stars like Tallpree, Bunji Garlin and KMC soca is here to stay.

I just started listening to Soca about 4 years ago and I love the stuff! It combines so many music styles and never sounds dull. The CD jumps from the start with "Brass" which has strong bass and powerful lyrics. "Magician" follows which is a song that I heard quite frequently at Trinidad Carnival 2000. "Old Woman" is another strong hit that reminds me of the old joking calypso style of singing that used to dominate the music scene in Trinidad. Most of the new Soca style music in Trinidad has been influenced by the trend towards strong bass lines and loudness found in Reggae and HipHop music in the US. While this may sound bad at first, it is actually good because this will keep the young involved. The future looks good for Soca music! I should also mention that this could be called the year of the women in Soca music due to the strong performances by females! There will be no second class status for them in Soca music anymore! This CD will convince you that it was a great idea to buy that subwoofer. If you don't have one buy one and crank this CD up!

Hey der...I had to buy dis album because one of my favorite artists in the world is on it. ONYAN the King!! If you like his track you got to check out his latest "Hurricane is Coming" by Onyan Art....(It also rocks a little bit more than dis album.
