5.0 out of 5 stars Best compilation of 1999, January 9, 2000
This review is from: Soca Stampede: Ultimate Trinidad '99 Hits / Var. (Audio CD)
Relive the last Carnival of the 20th century! This CD contains such hits as "The River" (1999 Road March from Blue Ventures and Sanell Dempster), "Voices from the Ghetto" by Singing Sandra (1999 Soca Monarch). Chutney is also represented through the inclusion of "Galeekay Noray Gordina" from Rikki Jai (1999 Chutney Soca Monarch). The songs on this cd keep them jumping on Trinidad-online.org's station "underwire". Whether you are a looking for serious social commentary, a fast soca/chutney beat this CD is one for your collection!

I love this CD. It's my 2nd favorite this year. My first is still "Hurricane is Coming" by Onyan Art. Rock and Soca Combo moves me bones in dis winter weather.
