i got this net so i can hang it behind my basketball hoop so i can have the ball return to me for practice. it is hung on a PVC pipe that was attached behind the backboard. you can imagine a life-size basketball arcade game.

anyways, at first, i cut the net thinking it was too wide since my PVC pipe was only 6-feet long. trusting my not-so-accurate eyes, i cut the net freehanded without measuring. sure enough, i cut it at an angle and the ball return was not so successful. afterwards, i was pretty frustrated with the lack of success and thought to just buy a retail version of what i imagined. but, i gave one more try and reattached the net using some zip ties. i thought, why not use the whole net and see if it hangs properly. after spending about an hour attaching and rehanging the net, well, it functions exactly how i wanted it to. the netting was actually hanging correctly and working as it should. i am not sure how long these will last but it has worked exactly how i wanted it to.

if you are trying to make your own basketball return system, this net is a cheap and great way to make one. the net is rather thin but i imagine it will do the job. just remember, you'll probably shouldnt cut the thing unless you are absolutely sure and MEASURED.
