I enjoyed the tour of Mexico and learning about soccer. Such a fun book and great for writing a history report by young elementary age children.

I bought a copy of this book and and a copy of it's sister book Soccer World South Africa as gifts for my niece and nephew. They are nicely packaged, easy to read and well illustrated with nice colourful pictures that the kids enjoyed while delivering a wholesome message. They were also filled with information that kept my niece and nephew interested. Well worth giving as a gift or for your own kids. Kids will love this book!!

We bought both books for our grandson and it has opened up dialog about how different cultures can share the same love of a sport. It seems that in our son's family, they were able to use the books as a way to introduce how people in different countries can be different and yet share interests. As a family that cooks, they enjoyed making the salsa and learning the spanish words for a few different foods. I highly recommend these books for kids as a window into diversity. And they are so fun!

I am the acquisitions librarian for our library District. Where we live, soccer has just become popular over the past five years and our Hispanic population is increasing. Soccer World Mexico is an excellent addition to our collection. This is not a "how to play" soccer book - it is an easy to read book about Mexico with a soccer theme. The book contains art projects, history, recipes, animals, nature, and vocabulary. The circulations are very high and the book is well received by our patrons. It's a great book for soccer fanatics as well as readers interested in learning about other countries. I enthusiastically recommend this book for not only libraries - but to have at home as well. The projects alone make this an educational and fun read that the entire family can do together.

We liked this book series so much we have bought them for our County Library system. We also work with schools and orphanages in English speaking countries in Africa and have given them to children there! This is a great series!

Terrific book for kids into soccer. Writing is intelligent and not dumbed down for kids. Teaches about different cultures through the point of view of sports, showing that we all have something in common.

Educational exercises with a social and moral bent, and lots of fun for sports and soccer fans. In fact even kids not into sports will get something fun and meaningful out of this. And parents reading it to kids will enjoy it too. Highly recommended for homes and schools, kids will love it!

These books are such EXCELLENT ways for children to learn, have fun, and explore the world. I would highly recommend them to any parents or guardian who wants their child to have fun learning about other cultures.

I bought this book for my ten-year old son. He loves it! Ethan provides a personal gateway to Mexico with respect for being a guest in a different culture. The illustrations are engaging and well-done, and my son is excited about learning about the importance of community gardens, Diego Rivera, and Food Fun. The organization of the book and narrative in each part makes it very child-reader-friendly. We look forward to other Soccer World adventures to different parts of the world.
