In this book, Eve and her team at Social Media Delivered, provide practical understanding of Social Media, and make the executive reader familiar not with the technology, but with the thinking process behind the decision to embrace Social Media. Not that it is an option (unless you've decided to phase out of your business). Social Media isn't a fad, and the sooner company directors realize it, the better. This book provides detailed case studies, from a wide variety of businesses and industries, showcasing successful integration of social media practices in small and large businesses (from a local franchisee, to General Motors), Non-for-Profit, and more....
What I really loved about this book, is the overall approach to the integration of SM to every facet of the business, as it will likely to affect the entire business.
I recommend this book to any director or company owner. Whether you're thinking you should embrace SM in your business and don't understand how, or if you think SM is a complete waste of time - READ THIS BOOK, and then make an INFORMED decision.

Saw Eve speak at a conference and was so glad to get her book. A very quick and easy read packed full of case study insights and practical tips. The Social Media Equation was most enlightening, providing a useful framework to view all of your social media interactions. With the goal to interact and inform, it's okay to try to sell your stuff too! This last bit really helps position social media in terms the CEO can understand - ROI.

This book is an excellent read! I even bought copies for my boss and our CEO as I thought it was very helpful and would be perfect for explaining our IT department's case for getting more into Social Media. Many businesses don't use social media and they are missing the boat! This book made it very easy to understand why companies should be using social media as ways of getting more recognition and more business. I highly recommend this book for IT people and definitely CEO's!!

Without being too much of a spoiler, I can say with absolute confidence that you will have some great takeaways from this book, regardless of where you are on the org chart and/or how familiar you are with social media. In my opinion, the best part of this book has to be the inclusion of case studies, highlighting the social media growing pains of several different companies in several different sectors. 'Cuz I'm living in South Korea, I'd preordered this book and got it two weeks ago.
Actually, I found myself read this book through the very night when I'd got it. Also I'd read it three times already to find more insights if there's anything I'd missed.

This book is AMAZING!!!! It is extremely informative and easy to read. Eve has made navigating the social media waters not seem so scary. She is a great writer and really knows what she is talking about. If you are in need of social media guidance this is a MUST READ.
