Lawrence has a very unique and keen insight on consumer habits, and does a great job of guiding the reader on how to utilize social media as an effective marketing strategy for growing your business. If you're like me and have wondered how to do this, then this material will probably be just what is going to help you, and educate you on how it all works. I was very impressed by his ability to allow us to see "behind the curtain" and understand the mechanism that motivates consumer habits, human behavior, and how to use it to attract quality clientele. Big thumbs up!

Though this book bills itself as "Social Media Marketing for Digital Photographers" there is actually a lot of pretty sound advice for marketing practically anything using social media, which I pretty much define as Facebook.

There are a lot of people who market their wares on FB in ways this book defines as would be more appropriate to media ads than social media marketing. In fact, I look at those forms of promotion on FB as spam and they turn me off as I suppose they do most people.

This book promotes more of an interactive approach and it makes a lot of sense. If you're a photographer who wants to increase her business, check out this book. I think you'll find it easy reading and very helpful.

With only a little over a year in the wedding photography industry, my business is still in it's infancy stages however I feel extremely fortunate to have come across Lawrence Chan's book Social Media Marketing for Digital Photographers and the Tofurious blog so early on in my business. Using real life examples from current fortune 500 companies Lawrence successfully opens your eyes to the world of strategic marketing and educates photographers on how to apply those same principles to their own businesses. The approach posed in Lawrence's writing is simple and human nature based but most importantly it really does work! Many of the successes I've had this far in the short time I've been in business I attribute largely to the marketing strategies and knowledge I've gained from reading Lawrence's Tofurious Blog and most recently the Social Media Marketing for Digital Photographers book. After reading it you will undoubtedly think differently about how you market your business and your business will in turn be better for it.
