How does this work?
Clicking the “Test drive now” button launches a copy of this app on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), a web service that provides on-demand compute capacity in the cloud for developers. Transfer your scrap paper and sticky note habits to the digital world with Color Note. This elegant notepad app allows you to create, manage, and share lists and notes from your mobile device's home screen.
Color Note features two basic note taking formats, a lined-paper styled text option and a traditional checklist option. Add as many as you want to your master list, which appears on the app's home screen each time the program opens. This list may be viewed in traditional ascending order, in a grid format, or by the color of the note.

Taking a Note
Serving as a simple word processing program, the text option allows for as many characters as you're willing to type with your device's virtual or physical keyboard. Once saved, you can edit, share, set a reminder, check off or delete the note through your device's menu button. When checking off a text note, the app places a slash through the list's title, a mark that shows on the main menu.
Making a To-Do List
In the checklist mode, you can add as many items as you'd like and move their order around with the up and down buttons activated in the edit mode. After the list is finished and saved, you may check, and uncheck, each line on your list (from grocery store items to household chores) with a quick tap that generates a line slash. If all items have been checked, the list's title is slashed as well.
Easy to Use and Share
Composing in Color Note is easy, for the app engages with your mobile device's accelerometer to present note taking and viewing options in landscape and portrait modes.
Once you've finished writing up your note or list, share it via e-mail where it will be posted as text, not as an attachment. You may also post it to your favorite social networking site or messaging service.
Each note may also be given a customized time and date reminder that interacts with your phone. Dock the note in your device's operating system toolbar for a constant reminder and quick reference. You can also skip the toolbar option and set up an alarm reminder that interacts with your device's ringer.

Keeping Track of Notes
Losing your lists and notes among your mobile device's numerous folders, files and apps is a non issue with the program. Simply launch Color Note and utilize the program's search field to quickly find the notations you need.
You can also search for a note using the app's home screen sort option that reorganizes your lists alphabetically, by the time they were modified, their color or by the reminder time you customized them with. When opened, each list carries a date and time stamp, along with the amount of time passed since the note was taken, in a small-font header located below the note's title.
When you're finished using the program, an automatic save command preserves your individual note before returning you to Color Note's homescreen. The program also allows you to save your master list with a password option launched from the app's home screen menu.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this program! I use it primarily for its checklist capability, which really helps me manage my "to do" lists while I'm working. I also love the fact that is saves automatically every time I make a change to it. The widget runs smoothly, I enjoy utilizing various note colors for organization, and it is very easy to use. Highly recommended!

Good memo program with nice features like list thats great for shopping but beware of the updates! They don't save your memos. Ran an update, one of 7 other programs. Got to this one, didn't pay attention & missed this was the only update that didn't say data would be saved. My bad but lost a lot of info. Boo. Stupid not to save memo program data, poor programming techniques.
