Product Description

Simply indispensable in today’s IT-driven world, Social Networks Around The World: How is Web 2.0 Changing Your Daily Life? by An De Jonghe is the quintessential guide to what it takes to survive and thrive in the ever-transforming and ever-growing world wide web. This book is written from three unique and juxtaposed audiences: the founders of social networks, the expert users of social networks—including bloggers, super-networkers, and technology journalists—and ordinary users. Providing an overview of the social networking markets by regions and countries all over the world, this virtual database of the network compares current trends and future tendencies within interconnecting and geographically diverse markets. Readers will gain better insight into the possibilities and potential of the social networking market.

2.0 out of 5 stars Catalogue of social networks: don't expect more., April 6, 2008
This book is just a listing of over 1000 socialo networks, and not, as the title perhaps suggest, a way of how to use these networks or any other tips or description of how they change your life.

useful if you have a stategy of entering a certain unknown world.

2.0 out of 5 stars Yellow pages for social media, April 11, 2008
By Michael Klazema (Ridgefield, CT, USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
A very broad and big guide to nearly all social media sites but like any yellow pages it really lacks any depths as to what the sites are really about.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, May 19, 2009
I was hoping for some "deeper" stuff than just a book of lists of social networks. It was like- slap a chapter of text in with a list of networks and off to the publisher.
