I have to read this book for a class, and I'm finding it to be a very boring read. The book does not grab the reader's attention, and I always find myself struggling to stay awake while reading this book. Any pictures that you find in the book are pretty bland as well. Not at all impressed.

Pros: Very comprehensive in subject matter, good grouping of information, gives definition of key words at side of each page, contains summaries at the end of each chapter

Cons: Not visually appealing (only black and blue ink used, even in pictures), The sections are long and drawn out, no chapter review questions are given to test proficiency.

Overall, I thought I must have recieved an old textbook due to the lack of visual stimulation which helps me absorb the information. But I do have the most recent copy. I wonder why they would cut corners in this regard even though the book sells for as much as other books that make reading easier by providing a more pleasant visual experience.

But it is a college level book, so I can't complain too much. The quality of information is good.

All material is clearly laid out in a sequence that makes sense. Its got your key terms defined in the margins, great for those of you who don't like to really read. Lots of examples, easy to understand

Great textbook, easy to understand with lots of photographs, which I enjoy as reading page after page of text gets boring.

Great illustrations, just what i was hoping for all material came new and with all registration cards. Very helpful and had links for website tutorials.

I bought this book used and when I received it was a disaster... the pages was the only thing in good conditions, but everything else was unstuck.
