I won't be collecting Social Security for at least 7 years. I hope the information I glean from here will aid in maximizing what I am entitled to. As a small business owner, my income varies greatly from year to year. This book has provided some useful tips for this.
Written in a casual style, he takes the government's attempts to confuse us with complicated calculating and twists it into common (and sometimes humorous) language. There's a lot of facts and figures for professionals who would use them but for those of us whose eyes glaze over at the thought of doing mathematic calculations, Mr. Blankenship provides a simple to understand approach to the madness without making us do the math.
The book also provides easy to read charts and gives examples/stories to explain and that demonstrate some little known and/or utilized benefits available.
I recommend this book to anyone wanting to understand how Social Security works for them. Very easy read and full of great info.
This book is a must have for anyone who wants to know with clarity how social security works, how it applies to you and what your options are w/ regard to when to beging taking payments.
Get this book, and READ it!
Written in a down-to-earth, accessible style.
I plan to get the updated version very soon.
