Age gap far too disturbing, March 31, 2005
This review is from: The Society Bride (Harlequin Presents) (Mass Market Paperback)
Boy is this book a trashy romance. Near child virgin bride coerced into marriage/buisness merger to appease her ailing grandfather--to 13 years her senior very experienced man with a permanent mistress. Nena was an enjoyable character, her innocence and her strength of character were well portrayed, I just didn't like Ramon that much. His mother admits he has had his way too much, and Nena attempting to tell him that just ends in him being more convinced that he must always take the lead in everything.
Its a quick read and isn't out and out throw across the room disguisting/disturbing. But the more I think about the age and expereince gap between these two the more I am disturbed by their union. It just didn't sit right with me.
