5.0 out of 5 stars On Jordan's Stormy Banks, May 30, 2000

This review is from: The Sociology of the Church: Essays in Reconstruction (Paperback)
This is a fun little book. The essays roam all over the map, but center around the Church and its centrality in the Kingdom of God. There is real depth despite the breadth here, and I have met many (including myself) who walked away profoundly changed. Jordan, iirc, means these essays to be thought provoking and preliminary. His ideas are sufficiently challenging to be challenged and should be well studied out especially by folks not well grounded in their theology. Nevertheless, this is a great book.
