I purchased this book for my Sociology class, the exact book as listed. It is in overall good condition. It does have some writing and highlighted material that was not mentioned in the listing but no different from buying used from my campus book store at three times the price. The actual text is easy to read and understand. End of each chapter has a useful overview with key terms.

I ordered this book and it arrived a week later not in the condition stated. It was very worn and has a lot of markings and highlighting in it. This should've been mentioned in the description. If I would've known the book was going to arrive in this condition I would've never ordered it.

I put my order in a month ago and still no word of the book. I don't need it anymore, the semester's almost over!!

As if blandness of text and the complete lack of colors other than black, blue, and white that would per chance hold a reader's attention was not enough.... This book's publisher couldn't even count. The sixth edition of this book (the one for which this I am writing this review) DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE PAGES IN THE CORRECT ORDER!!! It's perfect reading for those who don't mind flipping through the book to find the page where the second half of the setence they had already started is printed! For those with a more discriminating taste look elsewhere.
