I had to purchase this for the graduate course Sociology of Religion. Each chapter reads almost like a short story, except that each are filled with good research findings and insightful conclusions. I would recommend this for anyone interested in the sociological aspect of human religion. One fault that I could find of it is the "newspaper" quality of the pages, I thought for the $67.86 price I shelled out, the paper quality should have been much better.
