Highly entertaining for a text book!,

This review is from: Sociology, Ninth Edition (Hardcover)
This text does a pretty good job of introducing someone to the basics of the study of sociology. However, I felt like in some instances there were too many examples in the text, which made the chapters longer than necessary. That is not to say that these asides were not interesting (and in many cases relevant and useful), but there were so many that it was sometimes hard to study from the book because there were always sidebars with real examples distracting me from buckling down and reading the dryer definitions and explanations of theories.

This review is from: Sociology, Ninth Edition (Hardcover)
This book was alot nicer than I expected. The copy write is the wrong year I thought all I need to look for was the Author, name of the book, and the edition. WRONG its hard to follow along in class because the pages are different it takes a minute to find and catch up with the class if the teacher says page 79 it may be on page 139. All of the maps and charts are different and I don't have any of the short stories in my book that the proffessor likes to go over. I have to put in a some extra work if you don't mind I say get it's alot cheaper!
