5.0 out of 5 stars Sock aid and foam grip, February 11, 2010

This is better than the one I was given at rehab after my hip replacement. It has a wider cradle more suitable for a mans foot. It also has a foam grip under the toe section whicn makes it easier to keep the socks on the aid and to get the sock on your foot. Well pleased with the purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Thing Ever!, March 25, 2011

This sock aid is rigid, and can handle any size socks. It has two nice handles that make it very easy to pull and its large enough on the inside that I would feel anyone could use this and not have any problem. It holds the sock open very wide, (I was concerned because my feet have severe hammer toes and deformities and the softer type sock aid would never work due to it collapsing or not pulling the sock far wide enough to go over my foot)
Then you put your foot into the very end all the way to the toe, no challange at all, and then slowly pull and the sock aid pulls your sock up evenly and all the way up. Perfectly into position. I have Severe RA and cant put my socks on or touch my feet and until this product, I was very restricted in going outside due to this. But now, I can put the sock on the form, put the form on the floor, slide my foot to the end, and slowly pull the sock aid up. My sock is put on my foot perfectly and within seconds. The first time i used this was at Physical Therapy and the therapist gave me a book that had the different types of sock aids in in, but it didnt have this exact one. On oh My at the high price they were selling for. I couldnt afford one through her catalog, so i decided to try Amazon. I looked at several and this one was the exact same one she had, even the same color handle grips. I ordered it and hoped for the best and when it arrived, I tried it immediately! I cried when it worked so perfectly and now I am out and about and its all due to this incredibly simple little device. I am going to order an extra in case I travel, so I can keep it in my suit case. I think this sock aid is the best one i have seen and it is simple and very easy to use with no reason anyone couldnt use it perfectly every time. It has opened up a new life for me as it always works and I can always have socks on my feet because I can do this on my own!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sock Aid Does a Good Job, February 18, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sock Aid with Foam Grip (Health and Beauty)
I was issued a Sock Aid similar to this one when I had my hip replaced several years ago. It finally wore out after 8 years of use. I have used it just about every day during that time. The new Sock Aid has a little pad under the toe end that really helps when pulling the sock up over your foot. I also use support socks that would be impossible for me to put on with out my Sock Aid. I highly recommend this product.
