I was building an HTPC and heard that this was a good Mobo for the i3 processor that I wanted to get. I couldn't be happier with it. It's got an HDMI port that works great with an HD tv, it was easy to install and was up and running in no time.

This is a nice board for not-so-much money. It has all the I/O portsand options I wanted, plus a BIOS that lets you tune everything in sight. You can download the manual in .PDF form and use that information to vet memory choices and such. The construction seems solid, with even a flair to decorative in the heat sink design. I'm happy with this board for my application. Only thing you should note: For some unexplained reason, the PATA(IDE) port at the back of the board angles at 90 degrees off the back of the board instead of a straight-down plug in configuration. Wedged into a small case, the power supply blocked access to the IDE port. This was not an issue to me, because there are lots of SATA ports and I didn't use IDE, but check case compatibility if IDE is important to you.

The Asus LGA 1156/ Intel H55/ DDR3 2133OC- mATX Motherboard P7H55-M Pro worked great for building my HTPC. It has sufficient ports with one exception to not having support for firewire which I really didn't need for HTPC use. One of the major benefits was that it has the HDMI and SPDIF (optical) ports to connect right into your home theater system. The clarkdale bridge support was beneficial with my Intel i5 650 processor in not needing to have a video card. It's also capable of using the i7 processors but I'm not sure that I personally will use it with one in the future as technology is sure to change by then (1-2 years from now).

Used this motherboard for my first HTPC. Really happy with the end result so far. Booted up the first time with no issues.Pros: Built in video chip is sufficient to play movies at 1080p so no additional video card is required if that's all you're going to use it for. 6 sata ports HDMI outputs both video and audio. Some boards have HDMI but have issues this one works. SPDIF (optical) audio output Cons: No firewire support, but does have Com support - Com is dead; come on... Not an issue since firewire never took off but there is almost always a hookup in most computer cases for firewire these days so now you have to tuck that cable out of the way wasting valuable space especially in a micro ATX. I'll probably cut the cable out of the case. Bios splash screen is the ugliest thing I've ever seen. It makes one wonder if this device was developed as a high school project. It doesn't exude high-tech and detracts from the cool factor of my HTPC when I show it off. A solid black or colored screen would be way better. Good thing it only shows for five seconds on boot. Like all DIY boards the IO shield is flimsy, cheap, and ugly. Why can't they laser cut those puppies out of some more substantial gauged metal and put a nice brushed finish on them so they look and function better.

Combined this with an Intel I3-540 cpu and a Thermaltake 430. It fit great in a budget Rosewell case. This was my first build. The only mistake I made was that I didn't put the metal shielding around all connections when I put it in the case. But that was probably a newbie mistake. Also there is a cap on four pins of an 8 or 10 pin connection. I wasn't sure if I needed to take the cap off or not. The manual was confusing about that connection, but it worked with me leaving the cap on those four pins.

Excellent motherboard for the money. Was a little tight but I was able to fit a Geforce 9600 GSO video card in. The first board came DOA but thanks to Amazon they sent me another board as soon as they received my email. Thats what I call service! They even threw in free postage for the dead motherboard.

I orderd this motherboard and received it quickly as I have with all of the products that I have ordered through Amazon. It installed and set up pretty easily. I ran it for about a month and started having problems with it booting. I would turn it on and it would just sit and do nothing no beeps zilch, zero nada. I pulled out the memory modules and re-installed them. The system has been running just fine ever since. I have been running ASUS computers for quite a few years in my mobile DJ booths with no problems and hope that this one will run the same. The memory sockets do not click and hold both sides of the module. It slides into one side and clicks on the other. This may be the weak point on this board. Time will tell. Over all, It seems to run well. For the price that I paid, it is probably worth it, however, it has gone up almost 200 bucks since then.

First off, I hav built many full scale kick your butt computers. This was my first HTPC build, I did the research and decided to go with this motherboard due to the HDMI and SPDIF hook ups. Everything went flawless..The only complaint if any I have is the Blu-Ray wont work..Dont know if it is limitations with memory(4g) or video.

Excelente Placa madre, personalmente utilizo mi Computador para juegos, y esta Placa me permite instalarle piesas bastante buenas y no demasiado caras.
