With this surge protector, we were able to not only remove the old one from the desk top, we were able to install this one on the wall behind our PC desk. It is a terrific space saver. It holds four of the large plugs and two smaller plugs with no problem. This was not possible with the old protector because it was the inline type. One of the best purchases we've made.

What a great item, I can't believe no one thought of this before!!! Thanks to this great new product I was able to consolidate from two surge stripes down to just one. I bought two more for the garage. I can expand the unit as needed and it provides a very clean look.

This power strip has surge protection, solid construction, and pull-out sections that really do allow for wallwarts to be plugged in all in a row. It has a substantial eceltrical cord attached as well. A nice item, as the title says. Worth it if you need this function, overkill if you do not.

I have been struggling with surge protector strips for quite a while. There are so many plugs that have the "box" to plug in that take up at least two spaces. These Socket Sense plugs are great!! They expand and allow for all plugs to be utilized. I ordered two for all the electronics we have in the family room!

We have a LOT of cords that need to plugged in and it seems every one of them needs surge protection. We are using this expanding model for our TV, DVD, Fios line, VCR and stereo system. One surge protector for all of these electronics instead of the usual 3 surge protectors needed. Yay! The Socket Sense is a little bigger than regular surge protectors but not nearly as big as having to use 3 surge protectors!! I'm planning to purchase at least one more Socket Sense.

I purchased two of these, in hopes that I could cut down on the power strip usage in the equipment room at work. Most of the environmental monitoring equipment we use on a day-to-day basis is rechargeable, but each power adapter is large, and we were only able to fit two adapters on a normal power strip. I had hoped to cut down on the clutter with two of these, but to my dismay, I wasn't able to fit 6 large adapter plugs onto one of these. So, I plugged in three and added to small extension plugs you can pick up at Target for the other three plugs.

So, did it help cut down on some clutter? Yes, but not as much as advertised.

It's so nice not having to sacrifice a free plug just to make room for two bulky adapters to fit! Sure, there's the Power Squid and stuff like that, but those things can get into a tangly mess. Here you have something which should fit all your adapters in either direction, with room to spare in between. It's simply awesome. (I bought one of these locally at twice the price, but wanted to recommend it to friends via Amazon. I wish I hadn't made the impulse buy and just checked here first, but oh well. :)
