5.0 out of 5 stars Secret Anthem
If you're the kind of person that finds herself adopting surf punk songs as secret anthems, this is the album for you.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Old School Punk (Oh, and they're girls)
Closer in sound to the 1977 Avengers and early Sonic Youth than contemporaries like Veruca Salt and Elastica, however accessible to fans of both the former and the later. If you like Siouxsie & the Banshees early work and Peel Sessions you might be able to get into this, but if you are more partial to later Siouxsie recordings, then this is probably too raw for you...

5.0 out of 5 stars soda pop not a rip off, October 5, 2009
This review is from: Soda Pop-Rip Off (Audio CD)
I've owned this album since '95 and it's still one of my all-time favorites.
Completely original, definitive. I really love the power on Blue Angel, Time Expire, What kind of Monster Are You and the cool interlude, March 6.
I think every single song on this album was my favorite at one point. That's what's better about this Slant 6 album. With every listen of Soda Pop Rip Off, a different song stands out as my new favorite.
Yeah, Christina- where are yooooou?

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, March 24, 2009
This review is from: Soda Pop-Rip Off (Audio CD)
I grew up in DC and absolutely loved this band, this record was probably my favorite for months if not years, and that was back when I bought a ton of them!

"What kind of monster are you?" was always my favorite track, it bites harder and faster than the rest. But there are many good ones. Inzombia is OK, but this is the disc to get.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good short fast catchy, May 30, 2008
This review is from: Soda Pop-Rip Off (Audio CD)
Punk rock. Not a bunch of riffs you've heard already, completely original. I would try this one before Inzombia. See also Autoclave, Qix*o*tic, Casual Dots. Christina Billotte where are you!?!
