I bought this scale after returning a Homedics Lithium SC-403 scale that just wasn't accurate, and which indicated a different weight in successive weighings. Conversely, this Soehnle scale is superb. It looks great, and my best efforts to confirm the accuracy of the scale reveals that it weighs within 1/2 pound of the correct weight at my body weight (165 pounds). It may be closer, but I can't be sure. The scale indicates an accuracy to 1/10 of a pound over it full range. It also indicates precisely the same weight with any number of successive weighings (I tried it up to ten times in a row and got exactly the same weight each time), no matter how you shift your weight. It indicates a precisely consistent weight even standing on one foot on either side of the platform. In my experience, all other home scales show a different weight if the distribution of the weight is altered. A nice bonus is that this scale even weighs objects less than ten pounds with accuracy of 1/10 of a pound, so you can use it for the odd time when you want to weigh a box for shipping weight, or weigh any other light object. For example, this scale indicates the weight of a carefully measured gallon of water, in a plastic milk jug to be 8.4 pounds, which is precisely correct. In summary, this scale costs a little more, but if you want a accurate, repeatable scale that looks great, this is the one I recommend.

I'm very impressed with my new Soehnle scale. It has a beautiful, sleek glass design and though it was nice to look at I wondered if it would really be as accurate as everyone said, so I threw a couple of my work out weights on it to see if it would weigh them accurately. Right down to .00 ounces. Perfect. I think having the ounces will really help to motivate me and the easy to read display is wonderful. If you are looking for a little motivation to shed the pounds, or just keep in tip-top shape, I think this is the ticket. Pricier than most, but the accuracy and the design of this scale, in my opinion are well worth it! Here's to your health....

My mother in law has had her soehnle scale 63664 for years now and she always has ranted and raved about it. Everytime we go visit her, my husband and I always use it and have fallen in love with it. So much so, that we have finally purchased our own. We love it and is worth every penny. I highly recommend this scale to anyone that is in the market for one. It is extremely accurate and easy to read. It is slick looking too, so its a nice accessory to the bathroom. Its a must have for anyone that is going to buy one. We love it and hope you do too!

I compared this scale against several other scales made by Tanita, Thinner, and even Soehnle itself, and I found this to be the most consistent and accurate of all. The other Soehnle scale that I tried, the Gamma, had an issue with the LCD display as others have noted. No problem with this one, though.

This is a very substantial item, and appears to be well made. This may be one of the most expensive scales, but in this case, you get what you pay for. Even my wife, who initially thought I was crazy for paying this much for a scale to replace our Thinner scale which she thought was "good enough", now agrees that this was money well spent.

I am, for better or worse, a compulsive weigher. I hop on the scale every morning to track my weight, and I even keep a spreadsheet to graph my dieting progress. What can I say? I'm nuts!

I was frustrated with my old digital scale because it constantly asked to be recalibrated (to no effect, apparently) and gave me readings that differed by as much as 2 pounds or more when I weighed myself time after time in the morning. It got so bad that the hot water in my shower would sometimes run out while I tried and tried to get the stupid scale to show me the same number twice in a row! I even tried to weigh my standard 5-pound dumbbell to see if I was just crazy-- my scale told me it weighed 4.2 pounds; then 5.2; then 4.8. Aaack!

So I tossed out that $60 scale after having it only 3 weeks and researched alternatives. I had already owned a Tanita model and several analog scales that drove me similarly batty because of their unreliability, so I wasn't sure what to try next in my quest for a decent scale. I spent days reading reviews of digital scales on several websites and finally settled on the Soehnle Zeta.

I was leery of blowing yet another $100 on a scale that wouldn't be any better than my old ones, but I have to say I am thrilled with the Soehnle. It has never needed recalibration (heck, I never even had to calibrate it in the first place-- just popped in the batteries and hopped on it); it gives me a reading lightning-quick; it gives me the same reading now matter how many times I hop on and off the scale before my shower, accurate to 0.1 pound; it's completely unfazed by my efforts to weigh on one leg, holding my breath, leaning to the side...; and it weighs my 5-pound dumbbell at 5.0 pounds. Always. Not 4.2; not 4.8; not 5.2! Brilliant!

The Soehnle is simply worth every penny. This scale *works.* It's accurate (i.e., gives you the correct weight) and it's precise (i.e., gives you the same weight each time, time after time). Great engineering, great look. And I now save a ton of money on my hot water bill!

Just purchased this scale two weeks ago. It's true what the reviews say about it. Very stable and precise. No matter how many times I step on it's the same weight. You won't go wrong with this scale. I tried many other scales and everytime I went on, I was a different weight.

I thought I could throw it off by standing in different spots including the edges, but it nailed it every time. Grab a magazine and it will account for it as well. Have several true weight items and it was perfect with every one. All this and it looks great.

This scale is expensive, no doubt about that. But it is worth every extra penny. Solid construction, amazing accuracy and sleek design.

I was worried about this scale, as it is glass and the edges seem to have no support. I was wrong, this puppy has solid construction! When I took it out of the box, I realized that this was a top of the line scale, and each detail of construction is sleek and sturdy, even the battery door was well engineered.

Frankly, I was tired of spending $30 for a scale and always wondering if it was truly accurate. I spent a lot of time reading reviews of scales, and this was one of the few scales that had consistent positive reviews about it. And with good reason - this scale is the best!

This scale is fairly accurate but not perfect like others say.
It seems to give the same weight if you weigh yourself within about 1 minute intervals and your weight hasn't changed more than .5 lbs. Like a previous poster said, the result just "jumps" back to the previous recorded weight.

I can weigh myself in the morning at say 181.0. I will go walk around for a few minutes and weigh myself again and I'll be 181.4. Then wait another two minutes and be 181.5.

This scale just seems to have some tricks that make it seem super accurate. It's still nowhere near the accuracy of a beam scale. I can say that it is slightly more consistent than my $30 weight watchers scale.

I needed to use my cash rebate from amazon. It is only good for one month, and I saw this scale on the friday sale on almost the last day of my rebate. It looked cool, and the reviews seemed pretty good. I haven't tested the accuracy with the butter method, but I do get off and on, and it is pretty consistent. I have it stuck in a corner, and I sometimes shift around or lean on the wall, so it isn't exactly the same, but it hasn't moved by more than .2 pounds.

I also use it on carpet. I put it on a hard floor surface, and then I used it on the carpet, and it reported the same weight. I really liked that because i have one of those new bathrooms where the floor is carpet.

I am very happy with the scale, and I have no problems recommending it to anyone. However, it is expensive, and you can probably get a scale which is nearly as accurate for much less money, but I like the look, so it is worth it to me.
