Simply place the food in question on the hygienic stainless-steel weighing platform and punch in the correct food code according to the enclosed chart. Next press the corresponding button for calculating either the carbohydrate, fat, or protein value or kilojoules, kilocalories, or cholesterol of the food. If you forget, you can use the recall buttons to remember nutritional values for specific foods or recall nutritional values for what you’ve eaten over a period of time. A volume key lets you switch over to weigh liquids as well.The Food Control weighs up to 4 pounds, 6-1/2 ounces or 2 kilograms. This little scale will tell you just about anything you could possibly want to know about the nutritional values of the food that you place on its scale. Each food has its own codenumber. Enter the code number, put the item on the scale, and up pops the weight and all of the nutritional info for that amount of that food. Foolproof, though overkill if you just want to weigh something. Recommended for anyone who wants detailed info on what they eat or might eat.

I've had this scale for 2 years and it still works like new. I don't use the advance features much, but I love the TARA button which zeros out anything that's on your scale. Great when weighting individual amounts of food on a larger plate. Also the Grams / Oz toggle is wonderful. It takes a standard replacement battery which I had to purchase at Radioshack. It was under 4 dollars. Overall I'm very happy with this product.

This is a great little scale. I do not have one negative thing to say. It is light weight, seems durable and is very easy to operate. Nice piece, you can't go wrong.
