We bought both this brand Soffe and the Artiga to compare. We like Artiga more as far as a somewhat silkier look and feel, but they run a tad small and you may want to order a size larger than you usually wear. Soffe was also excellent quality, but more in the vein of a true cotton t-shirt and runs true to size.

I have seen the deterioration in quality of clothing over the past five years. Is it due to moving the manufacturing locations to other countries? I don't know, but I do know that the cut of this tshirt, like two other brands I've tried since 2002, has changed and is far less comfortable to wear. The thickness of the material is also thinner than past purchases. This tshirt's thickness is the equivalent of tshirts I've owned and washed many times. Sure it's soft, but I won't buy any more.

I think some of these older reviews are for a different shirt than I bought; I actually wanted to the shirt that they were reviewing because it's the shirt that you'd get at the BX, and I've loved those since I was in the Air Force.

Unfortunately, the shirts I bought seem to actually be an upgrade over the previous version. These fit larger, and seem to be really abject to any shrinkage. Also, they're much thicker, which is not something I was looking for at all. Hence the three star review.

That being said, just because it's not the shirt I wanted doesn't make it a bad shirt. It's actually a pretty good shirt; tight seems, thick, and un-shrinkable. The sleeves are a little long, though, and it tends to not taper as well as the older model.

Bottom Line: If you're looking for the old black soffee shirt that we wore with our BDU's, this isn't it.

I have been wearing Soffe products for years. These are the only t-shirts I buy anymore. I mostly buy white as I wear them for my work. The shrinkage is minimal and after the first wash, they no longer shrink. The colored versions fill like the material is heavier and look a bit better after washing. The white t-shirts are very light and are great t-shirts to wear when working outside in the heat. The breath well and I generally feel much cooler wearing the white verses the color. I use these t-shirts as my company logo t-shirt and all my employees love them.

This is a great buy for a t-shirt that you can wear for everyday activities. I highly recommend them and with Amazon Prime, you cannot be the price.

This is a nice shirt. Basic buy. Will last awhile, it seems, which is good for my wallet.

I purchased these for my husband, but we had to return them - even though the description says "100% ringspun combed cotton", the tag does not and the t-shirts do not feel like combed cotton at all. The color was nice though.
I purchased the ECOnscious Men's 100% Organic Cotton Short Sleeve Tee t-shirts at the same time, and they were very soft and exactly what I was looking for.

Bought these for husband because the quality has really gone downhill at the local "superstore". He says they are a great fit and very soft. They washed great in warm water with no fading or shrinking!

comfortable, good quality , awesome for the price i bought 4 !!! I'm the kind of person who prefers simple t shirts with nothing on them and obviously this is what I'm looking for ....I had trouble finding the best quality with low price and now i'm satisfied...

I ordered 3 Russell 100% cotton tees-recevied 3 "SOFFE" tees 90% cotton and they are scratchy, not like the Russell's I wear I read a review that said they received their order with the wrong size and product--looks like Amazon ships what they have in inventory hoping you will not return it--I order a lot from Amazon ie Kindle, books and other products, but never again

My husband really likes these T- shirts. They are well-made and of good fabric. Very comfortable. He wears them to work each day. It would be nice if they had a pocket though but other than that, they are just fine.
