Soft Heat Luxury Micro-Fleece Electric Heated Warming Throw is probably one of the most plush warming throws you'll ever have the luxury of wrapping yourself up in. At 45 by 60 inches in size it's larger than most on the market, but that's just one of the wonderful features of this throw. Within the incredibly soft micro-fleece fabric is the patented Safe & Warm low-voltage technology. This low-voltage throw includes a small power supply box that changes 120 volt AC home current into non-hazardous low voltage DC current (very similar to a battery) to provide warmth, protection and safety even if the throw becomes wet. Unlike other warming throws with their bulky wires, the heating wires in the Soft Heat throws are so small, they are virtually unnoticeable and also give more of an even heat meaning-no hot or cold spots. With an automatic pre-heat and hold feature you simply turn it on and the throw will warm up on HI until it reaches the temperature that you pre set your dial on and then adjust itself to hold it there. For your safety and convenience it has an automatic shut off feature that will shut the throw off after 10 hours just in case you forget. It also comes standard with built in over-temperature protection for that extra bit of safety and piece of mind. Easy care feature means that it's machine washable and dryable and will not stretch, pill or shrink giving you many years of warm luxurious use.

I bought this Soft Heat Warming Throw almost six months ago, and have been very pleased with it. I have tried many different electric blankets and throws, and haven't really liked any of them, but Soft Heat really stands up to their reputation. Their products are a little more expensive, but they are well worth the extra cost. This blanket actually gets hot. In fact, I can't have it above a 5 or it is way too warm. All the other electric blankets I've tried don't get warm enough, even if I put them on high. The wires are so thin, you don't even know they are there. My dog chewed up my last blanket by pulling the wires out of it. She doesn't pay any attention to the wires in this one. All in all I LOVE this throw. In fact, I just ordered an electric mattress pad by Soft Heat. I thought I'd try a mattress pad instead of an electric blanket. I tried a Sunbeam I bought at Walmart, but I couldn't feel any warmth at all. If the mattress pad I just bought gets as warm as this throw does, I'm sure I will be toasty warm this winter. I am really happy with this purchase.

Don't normally write reviews for things other than books, but had to for this. I had a Sunbeam for five years and it had 20 different heat settings. I don't think in all the time I owned it that I lowered the setting from 20 once. There were times I wondered if the blanket was even on.
Not so with this one. At ten settings I was worried it wouldn't get warm enough for me but I'm finding I need to lower it anywhere between 5-8 before going to sleep or I wake up sweating. As someone who is perpetually cold, this blanket is a dream. I have it at ten when I'm awake and I love how warm it keeps me. The only "con" is that it's so difficult to get out of a warm bed on cold winter mornings!!
I would buy this brand again without hesitation.

Several of my friends have purchased warming throws. I thought that it was a good idea, but the fabric in the other throws was so thin and cheap-looking. After reading about the Soft-Heat throw,I ordered one. it has changed my life! It is gorgeous. thick, double-layered and toasty warm. I usually keep it on 1, even in a big,old, cold house in New England. Before, I was wrapped in blankets, hovering close to the wood stove, now I ease back in comfort, protected by my glorious new throw. This is well-worth the extra cost, I am sure that it will last through many cold winters. I like it so much that I bought one for a friend, my friend also thinks that this product is the best ever. Indeed, anyone living in New England should be automatically supplied with a Soft Heat Throw !

Failed after two years, but just ordered another one...
