This book is a delight. The poems are heartfelt prayers to the Goddess. These writings are as flowing as Rumi's poetry and yet delivered to the Mother of the Universe. Some are sad, others hilarious, and yet others deep and probing. Put this book on your must read list!

A blissful and beautiful expression of an otherwise ineffable experience of the divine mother. Truly inspiring.

i love this book. the poems are like prayers honoring the mother of the universe. i like to read a couple of these poems before i go to sleep at night. it makes me feel peaceful knowing that i have expressed my love for the divine mother somehow.

I'm knocked off my feet by Ethan Walker's Soft Shining Moon. The poems are often playful, often sweet, occasionally bitter (like life), sometimes a tad preachy, and sometimes brilliant. In any case, they do for me exactly what the author set out to do: to kindle within me a passionate love and desire for the Divine Mother of the universe. When I read it I feel Shiva himself dancing in my heart, bursting the confines of my mundane consciousness with longing for union with Her. I should add that this is no slender volume of verse: no less than 230 poems, all in Her honour! Thank you Ethan: writing this was (to switch religious languages) oy such a mitzvah.

This is a Divinely inspired book of ecstatic Love Prayer/Poems to Divine Mother! i can only read a few of them at a time, because i become so choked up and the tears run down my face like a monsoon rain! i end up having to have a stock of tissue sitting next to me in order to continually wipe my eyes and blow my nose. Hear me, oh devotees of Divine Mother! Please! This book is beyond beautiful...Ethan Walker 111 now has a place among my favorite divinely inspired poets--Ram Prasad, Kamalakantha, Rumi, Hafiz, Kabir and Meera Bai. Not bad company!
