5.0 out of 5 stars Maybe someday this CD will come out....., December 29, 2004
This review is from: Soft Parade (Audio CD)
Yes it's true that Steve Hoffman did remaster this album for release on a DCC Gold Disc it was to be DCC GZS-1143, it was never released to the public since DCC went out of business.

Having the pleasure of owning all four Gold CD versions of the released Steve Hoffman/DCC masters (The Doors, Strange Days, Waiting for the Sun & LA Woman) I can only imagine the warmth in the music, the resolution & the sound quality that is missing from both of the Elektra CD releases. Possibly this remaster will be made available to us, but only time will tell.

On another note I would like to add that Bruce Botnick did great job of remastering all The Doors albums to 24bit/96khz. The Elektra HDCD releases of The Doors studio albums & In Concert at 20bit/44.1khz are in my opinion very well done. The HDCD Soft Parade album is much improved over anything else I have been able to listen to besides an original vinyl.

Note to Elektra,

Everyone would love to have all of the other studio albums on DVD-A not just LA Woman, you have remastered all of them at 24/96, forget the surround mix let us have it!!!!
