Soft Paws are an excellent alternative to declawing your cat(s). They are easy to apply and are completely safe and humane. Soft Paws are vinyl nail caps that are applied with an adhesive on to your cat's existing nails. Soft Claws will NOT interfere with your cat's normal claw extraction and retraction. Best of all cats tolerate them extremely well. The pack contains 40 (FOURTY) nail caps, 6 (SIX) applicator tips, 2 (TWO) tubes of special adhesive and complete instructions. As a rule of thumb, Small Size fits cats weighing up to 8lbs, Medium fits cats 9lbs to 13lbs and Large fits cats 14lbs and up.

These work well. So far, they are lasting 4-6 weeks (mostly 6 weeks). They are difficult to put on by yourself, but my cat doesn't even notice they are there. We have hard wood and tile floors, and you barely hear them. My cat can retract his claws even with these on.
