Editorial Reviews

2008 release from Gonzales, who fronted Toronto alternative rock band Son in the early '90s before leaving Canada in 1998. He settled in Berlin for two years where he immersed himself in Hip Hop and declared himself to be the "President of the Berlin Underground." He moved to Paris in 2000 to produce and co-write Feist's Let It Die album (he did the same with The Reminder, which he co-produced with Letang). He also worked with Jane Birkin on her Fictions album and remixed tracks for Daft Punk and Bjork. Universal. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Soft Power, February 5, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Soft Power (Audio CD)
If it were up to me, I'd give this album 100 STARS! Packaging came in PRISTINE condition. I converted the CD to MP3 format and play it on my cell phone as well in my car.

This Canadian expatriate is talented beyond his years. He's very vital, and detailed, polished, and precise! He knows what he needs when he needs it. "Let's Ride" would make a cool soundtrack for a movie, or documentary-esp. with the star of such driving down a major thoroughfare that contours a body of water along with nice houses or a downtown skyline. I intend to buy his next joint in the future.
