Unknown whether our 6-month-old will be the ultimate bookworm, but she loves this book. The durable waterproof foam stands up to every assault. The pages are colorful, the pullout animals are great to chew on and big enough not to be swallowed. We'll see how the book stands up to teeth! But for now, this book is a pleasant change from rattles and pacifiers.

It's been 10 months (and 10 teeth!) since my last review and this book is still holding up! The front cover got torn off, but the pullout animals and pages are still intact (with teeth marks, of course). This book is UNBELIEVABLY durable. I can't say enough good things about Soft Shapes Animals. Get this for the 1-year-olds in your life.

My son is 17 months old and loves this book. There are so many things you can teach with it! He's learned to make animals sounds, and we're working on putting the puzzle pieces into their respective spots on the page. That's not to mention how durable it is...he's chewed on it and it's held up. I highly recommend this book.

I bought this for my grandson who is 9 months old. He is just getting into playing in the bathtub and I know he will love this. Can't wait for Christmas so he can have his book and play with it too.
Well, I gave the book to my Grandson, and he really liked it. His Mom and I don't share the same feeling. The book is cute, but.....
There are four pages to the book. The first page is fine...
What Sound does the chicken make.....then the page next to it has a place for the chicken puzzle piece.
Next page-What sound does a cow make....Baa Baa and the piece for the sheep fits there.
Next. What sound does a pig make.....Moo, Moo. and the cow fits
Next. What sound does the sheep make....oink, oink and the pig fits.
Talk about confusing a little kid. I don't know if it was just the book I got, but ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

My 15 month old daughter is always finding this book and taking the animals out. With my help she can put them back into the book. That is my only complaint, that because she has to use one hand to keep the book open, she can't replace the pieces by herself and this frustrates her. We have a nice time together playing with this book and I am planning to buy one as a gift for a friend's 1 year old for his birthday.

My granddaughter loves Soft Shapes books. She has one about mother animals looking for their babies which are camoflaged. The book is soft so that little babies can lie flat and hold the book in their hands. The baby animal shapes come out and can be reinserted by older babies as a first puzzle. My 8 mo. old granddaughter loves to just hold the shapes in her hand.

We bought this for our 7 month old daughter and she loves taking the animals out and 'mouthing' each piece....the animal pieces are made very well considering all the biting and they still look great!

My son received this book for his first birthday. At that time I had never seen such an idea for a book. Now he is almost 5 and his younger sister is enjoying this book. This book has been on many car and plane rides and just keeps going, and going, and going. They love playing with the foam animals and they are so durable!

I can highly recommend this book, as I have bought it for several gifts.

We received this book for our 6 month old and within one day our 4 year old had broken the foam binding so that the 4 pages became seperate 'puzzles'. We've got enough junk around here so into the trash they went! What I want to know is what is this company trying to patent with their "patent pending"?
