My in-laws bought this for our 22-month-old son. Amazon has the age listed as 17 months to 3 years; and the manufacturer has the age as 17 months and up. THE ACTUAL BOX SAYS for under 18 months!! It would have been a great toy for when he was younger, but now he's WAY too big for this thing.
BTW, I was forced by Amazon to rate (with stars) the toy in order to leave this review. Don't pay any attention to the stars, just the write-up. =)

When we first introduced this "gym", our daughter took a little while getting used to it. It became more of a confined play area for her while we worked inside while keeping an eye on her.
She didn't like the idea of being separated from us. But every child is different. She was able to wiggle her way out of it, and didn't find the hanging toys amusing- just in the way. I think if we were to bu0y the balls with it, this toy would be much more enjoyable.

I bought this playpen for two reasons. First one was so my daughter could learn how to crawl/walk without hitting her head on our conceate floor. Second reason was because it was inflatable and easy to take with us when we travel. Wow I was supprised when I got it and not only did it do exactally what I needed but it was twice as big as I thought it was! I'm excited to have a place for her to learn/play without her two older brothers (four and two) herassing her. I do recommend an automatic pump for easy inflation but any pump will do well. Well worth the price and extreamely happy with the product.

I bought this for my 12 month old twins for their birthday and thought they could get some good play time with it since the age shown online says 9 months to 18 years by amazon and 17 months to 3 years from the manufacturer. When I received it in the mail, to my surprise, IT SAID 18 MONTHS AND UNDER!!!!! My kids really enjoy it since I bought balls for it but ohterwise they would be too old to enjoy it.

Loved the Intex Soft-Sided My First Gym Baby Playpen Bouncer Play Center. Baby loved it too. The only problem was when he get teeth and felt it was necessary to bite everything. He bite holes into the playpen and deflated it. Otherwise until then it was great. Easy to use and fun for the baby.

I bought this for my grandaughter. She enjoys playing in it with balls, although she didn't like it with the high sides inflated. So we just have the bottom ring inflated and she can climb in and out by herself.

We bought this when our little guy was about four months old. We filled it with about 200 balls. For the first few months, he would lay down in it but get fussy if the balls covered his face. Once he learned to sit up he started really enjoying it. Now he is about a year old and loves to stand in it and throw the balls out (hey, whatever keeps him entertained, right!) and he loves to stand outside of it and pull himself over the edge to get balls out of it. During playdates we've seen two year olds and even four year olds entertained by it for a few minutes, though it really is more appropriately sized for toddlers. I definitely appreciated this when our little guy was learning to stand and walk because he could fall against it without getting hurt. A thumbs up from us!

great toy. Your going to need at least 200 balls though. I only got 100 and it doesn't even cover the bottom of it. The only thing is the part that hangs over top, it is velcrowed (sorry sp) onto. it doesn't stay on, but over all very fun.

I bought a bag of 100 balls to go along with this toy, and my 9mo old son LOVES it! We've had it for about two months, and it was a hit from the day it came in the mail! All my friends have commented on what an awesome toy this ball pit is, and they think I spent WAAYYY more then $18 on it! This is great exercise for my little one! He loves to pull himself up on the side to standing, then fall backward into all the balls! He does this over and over...sure does wear his little butt out!

I cannot recommend this enough! If you've got the room for it (it IS rather large, but if you've got a one story house, or it's staying in a playroom, then no worries) ABSOLUTELY pick up some balls, and set this sucker up! It's very durable (my son throws himself all over the place in it) and very light if you need to move it. What a great deal for a toy he loves so much!
