5.0 out of 5 stars Back Pain!!
I've just received my Twin XL 3-inch thick 5.5 lb. density Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Topper from All-Sleep (Via Amazon). I'm 75 years old, weigh 260 pounds and have had beck pain for years that surgery didn't eliminate. I've slept two nights on it now without ANY back pain---the first two nights for at least twenty years!
I like it so well I've ordered a...

1.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for here, folks!
I was skeptical that quality memory foam could be had for about a hundred bucks. Turns out, my skepticism was not unfounded. This is NOT worth almost $500 retail! If you have experienced QUALITY "memory foam", then this will surely disappoint. If all you know of now is regular foam, then you might think this is the bees knees, but not for long! First of all, this...

I like it so well I've ordered a thick cotton mattress cover and a memory foam pillow for it and plan to buy a one or two inch 4 lb density topper to go on top of it. I hope this is helpful to someone. Dick McKillop [...]

5.0 out of 5 stars Great comfort & affordable!, January 20, 2009

I took a chance on ordering this because it seemed inexpensive & maybe too good to be true, but it was all I could afford. I'm so glad I took that chance because this topper is wonderfully comfortable and lives up to the description. There was no odor. It took about 3 hours to fully expand, and then was ready to go.

I'm using it on my hospital bed. I have fibromyalgia and spine degeneration as well as herniated disks in my back. This topper is amazingly comfortable. Nothing can make my sleep perfect as I have pain 24/7, but this has made a noticable difference.

I was using a 3" memory foam topper I'd purchased on Ebay about six months ago. There is absolutely no comparison, and I intend to purchase another for my Queen bed as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars I don't want to get out of bed, October 20, 2009

I've been sleeping on a pretty high end pillow top mattress for more than 10 years, but recently I had to move and get a new bed. I got a futon from a friend. I don't have very high regards for futons when it comes to comfort. I like a bed to be soft. That's why I bought this foam pad. It's everything I hoped it would be. It is soft and warm and I can hardly stand to get out of bed in the morning. If you like a soft bed (but still supportive) this is just what you're looking for.

1.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for here, folks!, December 19, 2008
This review is from: Soft Sleeper 5.5 King Size 3 Inch Thick, 100% Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Pad, Bed Topper, Overlay Made From 100% Visco Elastic Temperature Sensitive Memory Foam
First of all, this topper is LIGHT. It is nothing like the quality memory foam that really lasts. I wanted to upgrade to a 3 inch from a quality 1.5 inch but this was NOT an upgrade. It will NOT stand up to months of use because it is not dense enough.

I am not sure exactly HOW I am supposed to go about returning this hunk of junk, because it's so light and springy, (more like regular foam!) there is NO way I will fit it back into the box without hacking it up into little pieces (which is surely it's deserving fate!)... I plan to call the company on Monday to find out how I am supposed to get it back to them for a refund. It is not even worth a hundred bucks, in my opinion! I will update after I speak with them.

Do yourself a favor... Go to Kohl's during a half off sale and with a coupon. Get a REAL high quality, dense topper there for about $200 with the discounts they always offer. You will be MUCH happier, AND you will get a plush cover for it, too!

1.0 out of 5 stars Very Poorly Made!!!, March 26, 2010

I ordered this thinking the product advertised at 5.5 would be a much heavier density mattress topper, NOT the topper is feather light which was the first sign that I had been taken to the cleaners on this purchase. When I un-packaged it and unfolded it then is when I noticed there manufacturing quality is extremely poor there were air bubbles through out the topper signifying that they had not put much product into it and it was full of air holes offering very little support if any. The reason I know this I had purchased one for my back that was advertised at 3.3 so I ordered this one thinking that it was supposed to be almost twice as dense WRONG! Hey next time put some material in your product so it isn't feather light and does offer some back support!!! Very disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product for the price, February 8, 2009

I bought this for my son's twin bed. We bought him a really good mattress but he complains it is too hard. We have a high-end memory foam topper on our bed which he loves so I needed to do something for him. This is perfect. He thinks it is wonderfully comfortable and almost took a nap on it the moment I put it on the bed! (He is NOT a napper!!!)

I took other reviewers' advice and bought the larger size so I could cut it to really fit edge to edge. I also let it air out for about a week. So no problems with odor or fit and it was easily cut with a razor knife.

BY comparison to our top shelf memory foam topper, you can tell when you do the hand-print test, the imprint isn't as deep before disappearing but it is still good and a few hundred dollars cheaper than ours. So, all in all, a good deal for a nice product. And the service was excellent...Super fast shipping too.

1.0 out of 5 stars Instant backache, October 19, 2008
I thought this thing was going to make my sleep better but it only made it worse! The smell when i first opened it was horrible I had to let it air out for hours. I slept through the night and I don't remember tossing and turning at all. When I woke up, I could barely get out of bed. I had the worst backache ever. I think the mattress is just too soft. I don't recommend this if you have a bad back or like your bed firm.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for most, April 6, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My wife doesn't toss and turn. After a few months of using this it began to soften to the point that she will sink into it and feel the mattress underneath. Mostly my bad. I should've gotten one thicker than 3". I just assumed it would work for her. As for me, my side is still rather stiff. Just the way i like it. Don't know yet if my side will soften more over time. Comfort, yes. But, the average person should go for a thicker product. Or, just go for the whole mattress. It can be costly, but it's better than wasting a hundred bucks.

Sarah is happy! She is at PITT and she loves it. Excellent price. Last year we bought another kind of pad and by the end of the school year it was useless. She is sleeping very nicely and she doesn't miss her mattress at home. Thank you!

5.0 out of 5 stars No More Pain!, March 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Mattress pad was well cut, expanded to 3" very quickly, no odor associated with it. Bought it as an experiment to see if I could solve my lower back pain in the morning problem without purchasing a new mattress - YES! Woke up with no lower back pain! Also solved the problem of my legs and arms "falling asleep" while I am sleeping (pressure on hip, arm socket areas when I slept on my side was causing numbing of nerves). Would HIGHLY recommend this product. I bought this for my twin sized bed (even though it is XL), so it is a little longer than my mattress but that is OK.
