This review is from: 7" Soft Slicker Pet Brush, Wood Handle (Colors May Vary) (Misc.)
I purchased a similar brush over six years ago for my two tuxedo kitties. One cat LOVES to be brushed but only with that old brush, which was falling apart. The other cat tolerated brushing with that old brush but wouldn't let me near him with anything else. When the old, almost worn out brush disappeared I came looking for a replacement but was not hopeful as I'd never been able to find one before this.
All I can say is: "Wow!" This slicker brush is almost exactly like the old one. It has *flexible* wire teeth that penetrate gently through my cats' short coats but still grip and remove loose hair, guard hair and undercoat alike. It will continue to load up with loose fur until you remove it by just pulling it off - no combing the brush to remove the hair. This brush style is the absolute BEST one for grooming your cat as it also massages their skin with its blunt wire bristles, making for a pleasant, purr-inducing experience. And it works well on my medium long-haired old lady cat too - and she hates being brushed! Buster, my 'please brush me, Mom' kitty who literally begs to be brushed, recognized the shape of this brush right out of the box and went straight to his usual grooming station (the bathroom sink counter) meowing all the way. I'm so pleased with this brush that I'm ordering two or three more just in case they become unavailable again. If you have problems grooming your cat, try this one. It's inexpensive and well worth trying - your kitty will thank you! |
