5.0 out of 5 stars Shelby Lynne/Artist, March 14, 2001
This review is from: Soft Talk (Audio CD)
Recently, I read that Shelby Lynne was "disenchanted" with her earlier recording years. She is a stellar performer. Her beautiful voice and enthusiasm conquer. She should never fear the past: she should celebrate the future. Shelby is a star, and those of us who enjoy the voice and the music are forever blessed. Thank you, Shelby. Entertain us forever!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the kind of CD the trained ear cannot get enough of, April 24, 1999
By A Customer

It will forever remain a mystery to me why this talented young lady is not signed to a label at this time. I have never been moved by a performer quite as much as I am with this Diva. She has such a warmth to her voice, such control and such a wonderful range. I have listened to this CD a hundred times at least and I never tire of it. If someone out there is reading this that can put this classy young lady back on the road to stardom I wish you would take the chance. She is absolutely a-m-a-z-i-n-g.

This CD is as good as it gets. Shelby cativates you immediately, shares with you her inner-most emotions and doesn't let go. You'll want to listen to this CD several times a day.

4.0 out of 5 stars A country album?, June 28, 2002
This review is from: Soft Talk (Audio CD)
This album is in the country genre, but it's one of those country albums which borders on the mainstream. Shelby Lynne has a very strong voice and she (or somebody) has picked a good set of songs for this and her two previous 'country' albums.

If you like Ms Moorer's recent mainstream albums, you'll probably like her country albums too.

Shelby is a great performer, looks like this one is as good as I've heard and bought. She has a great voice and I enjoy listening to her music. I'm glad she has come back, I've not heard any music from her in a long time. I hope she'll have a hit with this one.

these are truly wonderful songs by a truly wonderful singer. shelby's sister gained some fame by being "discovered" by robert redford and singing in the Horse Whisperer. I don't know why he didn't stay for the family reunion!

This album reflects a kind of culture that people have long been seeking for. The rythms in this album is excellent and can make you remember them always while you are driving or somewhere else. This album is highly for a kind of life that we have lost in the old times but we want to gain it back.
