I bought one of these for my husband two years ago and it has held up nicely. The velcro is on the entire front strap so it doesn't come loose while you wear it. The fact that it is washable was a major factor. I considered buying one of the more expensive hot/cold packs but for something he doesn't use all the time it seemed like a waste of money. I was happy when I found this. At $18.00 it was well worth the money. I actually bought another one for my nephew. He loves his as well.

I ordered this for Christmas for my husband. He hurt his back 2 weeks before, so he got an early present. On the 2nd or 3rd day the gel bag burst. When I called the toll free # a very nice rep told me that it had burst because my husband was leaning back in his chair with it on. Well, it is for the lower back so I assumed it would be ok to wear it sitting down -- apparently not -- you have to put it on and just stand around, I guess. Well I sent it back that day having received a promise of a new replacement at no charge (I inquired about purchasing a replacement gell bag, but they do not exist) and have not yet received it. After 3 weeks I really think it should be here by now, don't you?

This wrap stays warm for longer than an hour after heating. It's comfortable and you can adjust the temperature of the treatment by microwaving it for a longer/shorter period of time.

It is a bit bulky, so you most likely won't be able to "hide" it under your clothes, but when you're not planning on being out in public, it's a much cheaper alternative than disposable heat wraps.

I purchased this item for my wife, who has serious pain issues with her back. The item looked like it was made well and could be secured in a number of ways to allow the heat to stay applied to different areas of her back, which was perfect. I was a bit concerned about the pack that it came with that was to be heated to keep the product warm on the back, as it seemed a bit flimsy. I had read a couple of reviews that claimed that this heat pack had burst on them in the microwave, so I was hoping this was not the case. The first 3 times my wife tried it, the product accomplished just what I had hoped. However, on the 4th heating, the heat pack burst as my wife was removing it from the microwave. Thick hot liquid poured out of the pack and onto the bottom of the microwave. Fortunately, my wife was holding it at the opposite end and did not get burned by the steaming liquid. The product is dangerous and I would not recommend it. If you decide to purchase it anyway, be very careful and monitor the heat pack for leakage. It will cause severe burns if the liquid were to leak onto skin.

I purchased this product 1 year ago and it put out a very minimal amount of heat. I then tried it again last week and it put out no heat! When I called customer service and told them the postage to return it was more than the cost of the wrap, they didn't care.

Don't waste your time on this inferior product and company. Get yourself some microwaveable heat packs and save some money. They will work a whole lot better and won't break down!

Great product and easy to use. Covers larger area for heat/cold than some. I used it across shoulder and back and it works great.

Stumbled on this gem....works sooo much better than a heating pad.. contours the body... added weight from gel pack seems to help, but it is not so heavy that it is difficult to wear....stays warmer longer... and able to adjust the wrap to cover the area of soreness be it back or side... you can be mobile, not tethered to the wall by the electric cord as you are with a heating pad...well worth the money.... makes me wonder why I spent twice as much on the heating pad ? ? ?

Bought this for some heat after back surgery,
I heated the gel pack according to instructions
wore the warp for 30 minutes
sat down once did not even lean back on the chair
felt moisture and the gel pack had ruptured
I would not repurchase this item

This is amazing. I am no longer tied down by a heating pad when by back is bothering me. Stays nice and warm and is washable!!! I also bought one of these for my aunt who suffers from PPD. she just puts it on with the pad in the front and it has made a world of difference to her as well.
