Customer Reviews

The Lensvue 2 makes it very easy to see whether the lenses are clean.

I had no luck using it as an insertion tool at all but this might be an overactive "flinch" or fear of poking my eye too hard with the device.

I feel it was a waste of my money and added zero benefit to helping me with my contacts.

I have never worn any contact lenses in my life, and recently started at 67 years of age. I'm very mechanical and, as a former classical musician, have excellent dexterity. Nevertheless, it took me a few weeks to master inserting and removing my soft lenses - perhaps because I have large hands. I tried every approach I could find on the Internet, but none of them worked for me.

To make matters worse, I found it extremely difficult to determine whether they were really clean before inserting them. Since the slightest lint or other extraneous material causes extreme discomfort, and they were (at first) so difficult to remove and reinsert, I did not look forward to putting them in each morning.

The Lensvue 2 makes it very easy to see whether the lenses are clean. With a lens adhering lightly to the device by the soaking solution's surface tension, just look through the magnifier to see any dust or lint. Then, while the lens is still in place on the Lensvue 2, you can insert it with no additional handling. Moreover, it's very easy to see whether the Lensvue 2 itself is clean... just look through it and, if necessary, wipe it with a lint-free lens tissue.

I have tried every other insertion tool on the market, and they're all sitting in a drawer.

BTW, I eventually evolved the following approach for removing my lenses, which works every time for me now. Perhaps it will work for others.
1. Wash your hands with soap and dry them thoroughly on clean, lint-free toweling. This softens your skin and helps you to feel the edges of the lens
2. Place your left thumb and index fingers on the lower and upper eyelids (of either eye) exactly at the margins, and hold the eye open as far as possible. A half-hearted effort here does not work for me.
3.

This item didn't work well for me either. First of all the hardest thing for me was to be certain the lens is positioned just perfectly on the center of the top of the device and soft lenses stick to everything! Then even if I was lucky enough to finally get the lens positioned correctly on the device I couldn't see through this and had to run to get glasses which didn't help much either. I had no luck using it as an insertion tool at all but this might be an overactive "flinch" or fear of poking my eye too hard with the device. Finally it is quite overpriced for the flimsy cheap piece of plastic that it is. I thought it was going to be glass and a real good heavy magnifying aide but I didn't find it helpful in that respect either, mostly due to difficulty positioning the dang lens just so on the vue device. Save your money!

I just got soft contact lenses, and have been struggling for two weeks trying to get them in each morning. The lens kept falling of my finger, or I just wasn't getting the position right. I purchased this, and they both went in on the first try. I am so pleased!

Although I was bound-and-determined to give reading glasses the heave-ho, my contact lens adjustment period was pretty long. After a while, I didn't need the Lensvue2 to insert my lens, but I still had a hard time telling when a lens was inside out--my lenses were comfortable, but seemed as thin as cellophane--and this did the trick.

I still use it every great once-in-a-while. Again, not to insert, but to make sure the lens is on the right direction, but maybe I'm just challenged. Anyway, I'm glad to have it in the medicine cabinet.

I'm just never sure if I'm inserting my lenses inside out. I bought this product the other day and it's amazing. I can now tell immediately if I'm inserting my lenses correctly and it even inserts the lens, although it took a few days to get used to. Highly recommended!

ok, for the first time I finally was able to see the manufacturer's mark "ciba" and all the nasty crap stuck on my lens.
I now can put on my contacts each morning without touching them and know without a doubt
A. they are in the rightway and
B. clean or not clean. its like looking thru a microscope =)

Product is great! Magnifies the lens so that you can see if there are imperfections (and not just your imagination). Grips the lens and allows for easy insertion of the lens onto the eye. Compact, easy to carry. Cool device!

As a new contact lense wearer I have struggled to the point of not wanting to wear contacts at all with the problems of them being inserted correctly (inside out or right side). After receiving this product I no longer have any problems at all in inserting the contacts. I must order another one, just in case something bad happens to the one I have as I just couldn't be without.
