I actually purchased this from my local Wal-Mart for around $8. Considering how high comparable products are, this is a great bargain.

It smells wonderful! It is a lasting light fruity scent.

I used it for the firs time yesterday and I didn't have to do anything to get my curls to pop. No twisting it around my finger or scrunching. I just had a head full of curls, even in areas where my curls are looser. My hair was left super soft. No cruchies or flaking.

I didn't give it 5 stars for a few reasons. First, it slows down the drying time. It's almost 12 hours from the time I originally did my hair and it's still damp in the center...And I used a dryer this morning to eliminate the immediate drips. Secondly, today (Day 2), I rinsed instead of shampooing and I could feel the build up on my hair. It felt like your hair feels after using a clarifying shampoo. Without thinking, I slapped some more product on it and now my hair is little greasy. Not a lot, but I can definitely tell that I have product on my hair.

I'll try washing it tomorrow and see how it goes from there... I still think I will try the entire line.

I bought this product at my local Walgreen's for $9.99 after trying a sample I received as an insert in one of my magazines. My hair is tight spirals and looks very much like Yvette Wilson's (Andelle from the Parkers)hair looked. My hair doesn't like most proteins and it absolutely HATES sulfate free products, which strip and dry it out... making it feel super brittle. I am in love with this product because it leaves my hair with defined curls that are super moisturized.
I agree with those reviewers who have said it doesn't prevent shrinkage but shockingly, with this product, I don't even mind. My hair looks so good and feels so healthy, I'm willing to trade the length. I also think because it's going to be routinely moisturized, it's going to grow more and faster.
Apparently I have some unusual hair because most products that work well on my hair get discontinued. I hear a lot of natural girls complaining that this cream is full of sulfates and other products that aren't good for curly heads. That just means I need to stock up because either the product will be changed or discontinued. For the moment, I'll enjoy my hair looking awesome!
Oh, by the way, on the second day, I just use water to re-moisturize. No additional cream necessary.

I purchased this product at Sally's. I am strictly a wash n go girl. Mosty due to laziness lol. First off this product does not prevent shrinkage. That's just what curly hair does. Shrink. Now for the good part. How I use the product. On soak and wet hair. I apply shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie .. A little over a nickel amount to each section. I rake then smooth the curling cream glaze through each section ensuring that each strand is covered using the praying hand method. After that I shake a few times to separate my curls then allow to air dry. I have 3c/4a medium density low to normal porosity hair. The product went into my hair easily even with the smoothie underneath. My hair was slight white on completion but disappeared in about 5-10 minutes. Now my hair was 85 percent dry after 13 hours. My hair felt very soft to touch without any residue feel or crunch ( I hate crunchy hair) Shiny ,moisturized and bouncy. After it completely dried and a workout session. My hair still looked amazing. Oh btw my frizz is minimal if any. Because your hair is so moisturized you have so little frizz. FYI. I only use curl creams for my wash n go's because I like fluffy, defined touchable hair. I've used other products that has given me great looking hair. But never the shine, body, moisture and touchability. Did I say I love this product. Lol

This is a revised and updated review(4/15/2014):

The Coil Souffle I gave 4 stars, but docked it a star because it's flammable! This product is complicated to use in that it will flake and give you the crunchy curl effect if you try to use this on it's own. It works best on very wet hair and applied on top of a leave in conditioner. The Coil Souffle is the consistency of a leave in, but please don't make the mistake of trying to use it as one. When your hair flakes up midday, you'll regret it. You only need a small amount since you should apply it on top of a leave in. As such it lasts awhile. Think of it as a gel.

My curl pattern is 3B, poofy and frizz-prone. On my hair this does work to reduce shrinkage, but not dramatically so or anything. There is a slight difference (compared to other products I use), and it does a pretty good job fighting frizz. With this, the only frizz I got was on a section of hair that was damaged by color treating at the end. I do get compliments from strangers when I use this, but no one who knows me has inquired about a difference. Call it a subtle improvement. For best results, I apply argan oil first to my ends, a leave in conditioner, and then a small amount of the coil souffle.

If you have 3C - 4 hair, you might want to be a little more careful. My mom's hair is 3C with I guess sections of 4A. She tried it and hated it. Her hair did the crunchy thing, and she doesn't have the patience to use play around with it. If you're not careful you'll have a crunchy fro.

I did try the Curl Creme eventually and returned it! My hair is not oil tolerant, and I had to wash my hair thrice to get the curl creme goo out! I hated the smell and it left my hair feeling not only greasy but sticky!
