I reviewed this book before it was published and found it to be very comprehensive and well written.
In today's world theft of software is not uncommon, but identifying and proving such theft is a difficult technical task that requires careful analysis and diagnostic tools for analyzing two sets of code statements to check for plagiarism or theft. Bob has been an expert witness in a number of intellectual property cases and has developed mathematical methods and tools for code analysis. Bob Zeidman's book also contains useful information about copyrights, patents, and various kinds of legal protection.

This book will be useful to software developers and companies that have invented truly novel algorithms and want to protect them from theft or unauthorized copying. The book provides insights into prevention of theft as well as discovery of theft. Some of the book has mathematical equations that require a fair knowledge of math. However the explanatory text is quite clear and well done.

Other readers who might find this book useful would be attorneys who concentrate on software patents and legal protection. I don't do expert witness work in intellectual property cases myself but anyone who does will find this book a useful compendium of a great deal of special knowledge. The combination of solid information and good writing make this book valuable.
