Book Description

In today’s unforgiving business environment where customers demand zero defect software at lower costs—it is testing that provides the opportunity for software companies to separate themselves from the competition. Providing a fresh perspective on this increasingly important function, Software Testing as a Service explains, in simple language, how to use software testing to improve productivity, reduce time to market, and reduce costly errors.

The book explains how the normal functions of manufacturing can be applied to commoditize the software testing service to achieve consistent quality across all software projects. This up-to-date reference reviews different software testing tools, techniques, and practices and provides succinct guidance on how to estimate costs, allocate resources, and make competitive bids.

Replete with examples and case histories, this book shows software development managers, software testers, testing managers, and entrepreneurs how proper planning can lead to the creation of software that proves itself to be head and shoulders above the competition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not confident about software testing, November 7, 2009
This review is from: Software Testing as a Service (Hardcover)
I am a newbie when it comes to software testing. Even though this book has good concepts in software testing but I found that you need to refer some additional books on software testing to makeup for the topics not covered in this book. Still it is a good read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Valuable Book., October 28, 2009
This review is from: Software Testing as a Service (Hardcover)
It is not necessary that the author has some great knowledge about a subject. What is required is the presentation of the subject in a language which can be easily digested by even novice readers. This fact makes the real difference between a great book and a not so great book. Most authors try to pour their tremendous knowledge in their books but forget about this simple fact and thus end up using difficult and hard to understand language in their books.

This book "Software Testing as a Service" is written in a very simple and easy to understand language. The reader will be able to digest each and every concept presented in the book easily.
This is the single reason, this book is different from all other books available in the market. Truly a valuable book.

Software Testing as a Service
Superb!!! A must read book. This Software testing is a challenging field. This book provides a good foundation for softwre testing. Then it builds on to some advance topics in software testing and finally discuses topics related to how software testing can be viewed as a service. The book is really interesting and has deep insight for many areas related to software testing.

Over the years our software development company was bugged down with software bugs and we were at a loss to minimize the impacts. This book gives us valuable ideas as how to remove software bugs and be more efficient and productive.
