Is this a joke?, January 28, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Sogno Di Cantante (Audio CD)
I ordered this CD under the impression that a talented, developed vocalist would be performing the selections. However I was seriously mistaken. I was extremely disappointed in this CD. I found her singing to be breathy, out of tune and not well trained. I am a music student, and I have heard scores of people produce a much lovlier sound in practice rooms... so why does this young lady get her own CD? This is not to say that one day she may develop her voice, expand her range and acquire better habits...but at this point I see no good reason for her to have her own recording that is available to the public. I am very sorry that I wasted my money on this purchase. I should have stuck with Cecilia and Kathleen.

A good laugh, December 20, 2002
This review is from: Sogno Di Cantante (Audio CD)
Rosemary's cd surely must be a joke, or else she is disabled. If she is, I am congradulate her for her musical efforts. If she is not, however, she ought to be ashamed for undertaking this cd when her voice is so underdeveloped. Her Italian was heinous. She needs some serious diction lessons. Learn about the International Phonetic Alphabet and let it guide you. Listen to great singers. As for her voice, she needs to keep working and it sounds to me like she should not be performing arias yet, although working on them might be a good idea. Her voice is somewhat out of tune, and her interpretations are not musically acurate. You can still be expressive while following something as basic the rhythm and pitches that the composer has laid out for you. Her other reviews said that she was passionate, I did not even entertain the idea that she was when I heard her. And by the way, regarding someone else's review, why would someone cry during Se tu m'ami? Her tone does not lie very well on my ear, and her bizarre form of vibrato displays her lack of proper air support. I really hope she puts in the work that is necessary for artistry before she attempts to sell another cd. The amazon.com thing made me give her at least one star, however I definitly do not think even her efforts deserve one star at this point.

I could not agree more, July 8, 2006
This review is from: Sogno Di Cantante (Audio CD)
It's been seven years since this ordeal. I'm really sorry that all of you bought this recording without realizing what you were getting. Please know that it was not my idea. I was a 17 year-old kid with little training and very poor guidance. Honestly, when I realized how I'd been taken and manipulated, I required counseling and it took years to get over it. I would give anything to go back in time and undo this...but unfortunately I cannot and it is the ghastly skeleton in my closet. Please know that I am light years beyond this now because I actually went to school and got a formal education in vocal performance.
