My cat got into "nip" and now listens to The Grateful Dead, stopped hunting mice, started borrowing mice from other cats, was beat up by a common gray squirrel when he broke into its house to steal its nuts to sell to get more "nip." This product is terrible I am therefore giving it 5 stars. Yes, I highly recommend this product to anyone who has a cat. I gotta go, I think the cat got stoned and fell into the toilet again.

Thanks a lot! I am now the owner of a demanding stoner cat who will accept no other catnip. I've only had this nip for a week, and she already knows what the can looks like. The minute I go anywhere near the can, she starts screaming at me like a banshee for her nip. I tried giving her her old nip (which shall remain nameless) and she turned up her little black nose at it. So, yeah, she knows the difference.

All I have to say is this: Bob is about 5 years old, so I figure she's probably got at least another good ten years in her. So, you Sojos people are going to have to keep making this nip for at least another 13 or 14 years, just to be on the safe side. It's not my fault, it's y'all who've created a monster.

P.S. Bob loves you guys, and if she could have kittens, she'd name them after you.

This product page doesn't really say how much actual catnip you get. Under production dimensions, the weight is given as 3.4 ounces, while the shipping weight is only 3.2 ounces (makes you wonder what they don't ship you). On the package, the stated net weight is 1.0 ounces. I've purchased this item twice and the last time I weighted the catnip while it was still in the bag. My postal scale reported a disappointing 0.8 ounces. That's probably just a fluke, but it's disappointing none the less.

This is primo cat weed. Cats that can generally take or leave catnip can't resist the stuff.

While this nip smells great and appears to be very fresh it has WAY too many bark pieces, sharp stems and needles.
This makes my cat sick.
This is the second brand I have purchased like this.
I need a fine grind I guess.
(I have posted Picts of this product)

Please note that this item does not have a USDA Organic certification. I have made a number of efforts to contact the manufacturer via email and telephone to learn who exactly "certified" this product, but they will disclose this information.

Our cat loves this stuff. It seems extremely potent and is the best quality cat nip I've ever encountered. Just a tiny pinch and she has a strong reaction. (Some cats don't respond to cat nip, but she does.)

I'd highly recommend this catnip. Its powerful, fresh, and cat approved.

I was surprised when the catnip arrived to find it was only a one ounce tin. The listing did not say how much was in the tin (my fault I guess). I just found the same size tin of this same catnip at a high end natural food store for only $4.95. This is good stuff, but overpriced and can probably be found locally for a lot less.

Sojos Certified Organic Catnip:

I've been using catnip as a treat for my cats for years, but I never really paid much attention to the quality until I started using the Sojos Brand. All catnip looks relatively the same to me, but I should have really paid more attention to what my cats were telling me. What I do is put a little amount inside a zip-lock plastic bag, then place the cat toys inside with the catnip and shake the bag. This gets the odor-flavor-scent of the catnip on the cat toys and the cats play with their toys more aggressively and for a longer time. They use more of that pent-up energy.

What I did notice from using just a generic brand that the cats soon lost interest in the toys that they were playing with after the catnip shake-up in the plastic bag. This cycle of play continued until I decided to try another catnip brand. Sojos Certified Organic Catnip is only slightly more expensive, but it was worth the shot. I wanted my cats to enjoy their toys and to use some of that hunting instinct that's in all cats, in a more constructive manner. By using this hunting instinct a cat feels more like a cat and is a happier cat. One of a cat's purposes in life has been fulfilled. They feel more confident, their tails are up in the air, and they don't use you for their hunting instinct. Which mean less scratches to you and your cat opens up for petting, especially when they expose their underside to you for a quick petting.

When you own a cat you have to have things around the house that makes your cat a confident, well balanced mentally, playful, and wanting to be around you as your protector. The Sojos Catnip works very well to help give your cat a feeling of confidence. Thus, your relationship with your cat is better for you and definitely better for your cat. This catnip works well for a 5 star rating.

Addendum: 9/17/11 I've ordered this catnip several times and when the package arrives at the door, my cats let me know the catnip has arrived. My cats will pace at the door and make a figure 8 and their tails will be straight up in the air, noses sniffing at the door, with a specific cheerful speech announcing to me that I need to open the door. After I open the shipping package, they play for hours with the box. This catnip is that good. I've never seen that type of response to a catnip product as I do with Sojos Certified Organic Catnip. For playful, cheerful, energetic cats all I can say is the proof is in the cats response.

Addendum: 9/11/14 I've ordered this catnip over and over and over again. It's like crack for cats. I put this product on an automatic reorder. Now I don't have to worry about being out of my cats favorite treat. I wouldn't put this on auto-reorder if it was a dud for my cats. Now when their favorite package comes to the door, I know it's Sojos Certified Organic Catnip, yes they can smell it in the box, through the door, and get my attention that it has been delivered. Simply Amazing ! This is the real deal to having happy content felines. The response that my cats exhibit may not be what others see, but for my cats it is a genuine ecstasy pure an simple. When my cats are happy, I'm happy. Life couldn't be better for your cat, then with this catnip.
